      • The Efficacy of Applying the Quality Measure of Health Service on the External Patient Satisfaction

Olfat Ebrahem Gadelrab Atta KINFORMS 2012 Management Review Vol.7 No.2

The research aims at finding the relationship between the variables of the quality of service measure on external client (the patient) satisfaction which are quality of health service, the quality of health care, the quality of the services and measuring the variables of the quality of service which are:reliable, quick response, safety and empathy and facilitations and satisfaction supportive an external client (the patient). And also aims at determining the differences between different curative sections regarding the external client (the patient) satisfaction. The researcher conducted a pilot study with 50 individuals of service recipients which showed shortage in the quality of service provided in health insurance hospitals and a gap between the expectations of external client (the patient) and the recevied service. The research community is the service recipients, (patients), of the different curative sections, in the hospitals . The sample size is(400).The results of the research show that there is an effect of the quality service dimensions on external client (the patient) satisfaction, and there are significant relationships between the quality of services dimensions and the variables of external client (the patient) satisfaction , the study recommends giving proper attention to the efficiency of health service in the hospitals under this study.

      • Directed self-assembly of a two-state block copolymer system

        Do Hyung Wan,Choi Hong Kyoon,Gadelrab Karim R.,Chang Jae-Byum,Alexander-Katz Alfredo,Ross Caroline A.,Berggren Karl K. 나노기술연구협의회 2018 Nano Convergence Vol.5 No.25

In this work, ladder-shaped block copolymer structures consisting of parallel bars, bends, and T-junctions are formed inside square confinement. We define binary states by the two degenerate alignment orientations, and study properties of the two-state system. We control the binary states by creating openings around the confinement, changing the confinement geometry, or placing lithographic guiding patterns inside the confinement. Self-consistent field theory simulations show templating effect from the wall openings and reproduce the experimental results. We demonstrate scaling of a single binary state into a larger binary state array with individual binary state control.

X-ray Diffraction Patterns of Activated Carbons Prepared under Various Conditions

        Girgis, Badie S.,Temerk, Yassin M.,Gadelrab, Mostafa M.,Abdullah, Ibrahim D. Korean Carbon Society 2007 Carbon Letters Vol.8 No.2

A series of activated carbons (ACs) were derived from sugarcane bagasse under two activation schemes: steam-pyrolysis at $600-800^{\circ}C$ and chemical activation with $H_3PO_4$ at $500^{\circ}C$. Some carbons were treated at 400, $600^{\circ}C$, or for 1-3 h, and/or in flowing air during pyrolysis of acid-impregnated mass. XRD profiles displayed two broad diffuse bands centered around $2{\theta}=23$ and $43^{\circ}$, currently associated with diffraction from the 002 and 100/101 set of planes in graphite, respectively. These correspond to the interlayer spacing, Lc, and microcrystallite lateral dimensions, La, of the turbostratic (fully disordered) graphene layers. Steam pyrolysis-activated carbons exhibit only the two mentioned broad bands with enhancement in number of layers, with temperature, and small decrease in microcrystallite diameter, La. XRD patterns of $H_3PO_4$-ACs display more developed and separated peaks in the early region with maxima at $2{\theta}=23$, 26 and $29^{\circ}$, possibly ascribed to fragmented microcrystallites (or partially organized structures). Diffraction within the $2{\theta}=43^{\circ}$ is still broad although depressed and diffuse, suggesting that the intragraphitic layers are less developed. Varying the conditions of chemical activation inflicts insignificant structural alterations. Circulating air during pyrolysis leads to enhancement of the basic graphitic structure with destruction and degradation in the lateral dimensions.

Ultrasound-guided transversalis fascia plane block versus transmuscular quadratus lumborum block for post-operative analgesia in inguinal hernia repair

( Ahmed Zaghloul Fouad ),( Iman Riad M. Abdel-aal ),( Mohamed Rabie Mohamed Ali Gadelrab ),( Hany Mohammed El-hadi Shoukat Mohammed ) 대한통증학회 2021 The Korean Journal of Pain Vol.34 No.2

Background: Inguinal hernia repair is one of the most commonly performed surgical procedures. Regional blocks might provide excellent analgesia and reduce complications in the postoperative period. We aimed to compare the postoperative analgesic effect of the ultrasound-guided transversalis fascia (TF) plane block versus the transmuscular quadratus lumborum (QL) block in patients undergoing unilateral inguinal hernia repair. Methods: Fifty patients enrolled in this comparative study and were randomly assigned into two equal groups. One group received an ultrasound-guided QL block. In comparison, the other group received an ultrasound-guided TF plane block. The primary outcome was the patient-assessed resting, and movement-induced pain on the numeric pain rating scale (NRS) measured at 30 minutes postoperatively. Secondary outcomes included the percentage of patients receiving rescue analgesia in the first postoperative day, ease of performance of the technique, and incidence of adverse effects. Results: There were no statistically significant differences in NRS at rest and with movement between the groups over the first 24 hours postoperatively. The proportion of patients that received postoperative rescue analgesics during the first 30 minutes postoperatively was 4% (n = 1) in the QL group compared to 12% (n = 3) in the TF group. However, the mean performance time of the TF block was shorter than that of the QL block, and the performance of the TF block appeared easier technically. Conclusions: The ultrasound-guided TF plane block could be as effective as the QL block in lowering pain scores and decreasing opioid consumption following nonrecurrent inguinal herniorrhaphy.
