Statistical Model Analysis of (n,p) Cross Sections Averaged over the Fission Neutron Spectrum
G. Khuukhenkhuu,M. Odsuren,Yu. M. Gledenov,M. V. Sedysheva 한국물리학회 2011 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.59 No.23
Experimental (n,p) cross sections averaged over the thermal fission neutronspectrum of U-235 are analyzed in the framework of the statistical model andsome regularities are observed. The experimental data are described by thestatistical model in which the evaporation model and the constant nucleartemperature approximation are used. Also, the effective average neutronenergy for fission spectrum of U-235 in the case of (n,p) cross sections wasfound to be around 4 MeV.
The Comparative Analysis of Rn-222 in Water for Public Supply Pump Houses of Ulaanbaatar City
Oyunchimeg, Ts.,Khuukhenkhuu, G.,Norov, N, Korean Society of Medical Physics 2003 의학물리 Vol.14 No.1
The results of the measured specific activities of Rn-222 in water for public water supply pump houses (wells) of Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia using the HP-Ge gamma-spectrometer, are described. The average of the specific radioactivies for the Rn-222 were for the station “Centre” 82.59 Bq/l, station “Combinat” 91.35 Bq/l and station “Makh” 158.25 Bq/l, respectively.
Nuclear Physics Methods for Determination of Radon in Water
Oyunchimeg, Ts.,Norov, N.,Khuukhenkhuu, G. Korean Society of Medical Physics 2002 의학물리 Vol.13 No.1
The results of the measured specific activities of Rn-222 in sewerage and drinking water of Ulaanbaatar City, Mongolia using the HP-Ge gamma-spectrometer, solid state nuclear track detector and liquid scintillator, are compared. The specific radioactivity for the Rn-222 in water of Ulaanbaatar City ranged 10-250 Bk/l, with an average of 110 Bk/l.
Investigation of (n,α) Reaction for Rare-earth Elements in the MeV Neutron Energy Region
Y. Gledenov,M. Sedysheva,Guohui Zhang,Jiaguo Zhang,Hao Wu,Jiaming Liu,Jinxiang Chen,P. Koehler,G. Khuukhenkhuu,P. Szalanski 한국물리학회 2011 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.59 No.23
Cross sections and forward/backward ratios in the laboratory reference system were measured for ^(143)Nd(n,α)^(140)Ce at 4.0, 5.0, and 6.0 MeV, ^(147)Sm(n,α)^(144)Nd at 5.0 and 6.0 MeV, and ^(149)Sm(n,α)^(146)Nd at 6.0 MeV. A twin gridded ionization chamber and large-area back-to-back ^(143)Nd^2O^3 and ^(147,149)Sm^2O^3 samples were employed. Experiments were performed at the 4.5 MV Van de Graaff of Peking University, China. Fast neutrons were produced through the D(d, n)^3He reaction by using a deuterium gas target. A small ^(238)U fission chamber was employed for absolute neutron flux determination and a BF_3 long counter was used as neutron flux monitor. Present experimental data are compared with previous measurements, evaluations, and model calculations.
