Background: A number of accidents have occurred in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Efforts in reducing accidents have been undertaken through the implementation of safety behaviors. Unfortunately, few studies have examined motives behind unsafe behaviors, such as safety silence motives. This study aimed to observe the motives underlying safety behaviors, namely safety silence motive (SSM) (SSM-relation, SSM-climate, SSM-issue, and SSM-job) and to evaluate the effect of SSM and safety communication on safety participation in different industrial sectors and scales. Materials and Methods: Eighty workers from two industrial sectors and scales of SMEs were involved. They were instructed to fill out a set of questionnaires. A five-Likert scale was used to respond. An independent t test was applied to find any significant differences. The partial least square-structural equation modeling for multigroup was used to develop a model on relations among the variables. Results: The results showed that SSM scores were high in SMEs, and the scores were different across industrial sectors and scales. SSM had a negative influence on safety communication, and safety communication positively influenced safety participation. Conclusion: The study of SSM, safety communication, and safety participation in different sectors and scales should be separated in SMEs.
The Role of Revenues in Reducing Local Government Fiscal Distress
Al ANSORI,Nasir NASIR,Yossi DIANTIMALA,Syukriy ABDULLAH 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.6
This study aims to examine the role of revenues in reducing the fiscal distress of local governments in Indonesia. A problem that is being widely tested is the potential for financial imbalances to determine the right pattern between fiscal capacity and service provision to the public. Local governments that experience fiscal distress are at risk of experiencing a collapse of the overall system, so it requires effective prevention. This study uses balance panel data obtained from local government financial reports with 3,024 observations, from 504 local governments in Indonesia during the 2014–2019 period. Hypothesis testing is carried out using logistic regression by employing the Wald Test partially and the Overall Test simultaneously. The data is collected from the local government financial statements which have been audited by supreme audit institutions. The results reveal that local government’s own revenue and transfer revenue and other legal revenue are proven to be able to reduce local government fiscal distress. It provides empirical support for the executive and legislature to make the right policies in increasing their own revenues at the central and regional levels. The findings include crucial information for preventing, detecting, and mitigating fiscal distress in all Indonesian local governments.
A Robust MP3 Compression-Resistant Audio Watermarking Algorithm Based on DWT-SMM
Muhammad Rasyid Redha Ansori,Simeon Okechukwu Ajakwe,Jae Min Lee,Dong-Seong Kim 한국통신학회 2021 한국통신학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2021 No.11
Watermarking is one solution to the problem of digital piracy. This paper proposed an audio watermarking approach using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and Statistical Mean Manipulation (SMM). The proposed method is tested using three different audio hosts and attacked with MP3 compression with 32Kbps bit rate. The results show that watermark can retain against MP3 compression with 0 BER and the proposed system produces a good quality watermarked audio with best SNR 29.8088 dB.

Nyamplung (Calophyllum inophyllum Linn) is one of the most widely grown plants in Indonesia. In addition, nyamplung oil has a future competitive advantage in that it can be processed into biodiesel. However, conventional methods for transesterification of nyamplung oil have been less effective. Therefore, in this study biodiesel was produced using microwaves as one of the alternative methods that can improve the shortcomings of conventional methods. In addition, optimization of parameters such as microwave power, catalyst concentration and transesterification time was done using Box-Behnken design. The combination of microwave with CaO catalyst and treated with Box-Behnken design are considered as a new and modern method for production of biodiesel from nyamplung oil and optimizing the factors that affected the transesterification process. The results showed that factors such as microwave power of 449.29 W, concentration of catalyst of 4.86% and transesterification time of 10.07 min can produce optimal yield of biodiesel of 92.73% with reliability of 93.22%.
Duplicate Audio Data Detection Model Based on IPFS and Blockchain using Smart Contract
Muhammad Rasyid Redha Ansori,Allwinnaldo,Revin Naufal Alief,Ikechi Saviour Igbonausi,Jae Min Lee,Dong-Seong Kim 한국통신학회 2022 한국통신학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2022 No.2
This paper proposes a model to detect a duplication of audio data to address the problem of copyright infringement using smart contract based on IPFS and Ethereum blockchain. The proposed model is tested with calculating its transaction fee and response time. The results show that the most expensive fee is when deploying the smart contract to the network and the total response time is only about 2 seconds.
