Planetary gearing is a gear system consisting of one or more planet gears, revolving about a sun gear. While the planetary gear system has many advantages- for example, high power density, large reduction in a small volume, multiple kinematic combinations, pure torsional reactions, and coaxial shafting, it has not been widely used because of its high bearing loads, inaccessibility, and design complexity. It is also necessary to shift several pairs of gear profiles at a same time. Therefore, designing profile shifted planetary gear system is a difficult and know-how dependent job. This study provides a practical solution to design a profile shifted gear system by the procedural design scheme, and proposes a bearing integrated structure of the dual stage profile shifted gear system with a robust output end. A dual stage profile shifted gear system with the bearing integrated structure is manufactured by the proposed design scheme in this study. This gear system is verified that it is good enough to commercialize, because it has high performance with high gear ratio and robust output end against axial and radial directional runouts in a small space.
지능형 항해정보기록 분석 시스템 설계 및 가시화 모듈 개발

The voyage data is very important for safety of ships, and duty being effectuated by the installation of voyage data record (VDR) on ships. VDR is a black-box, and it contains 14 kinds of voyage data as text. But it is not easy to understand when the accident happened because voyage data is saved as complicated texts. User interface (UI), analysis, visualization system, which works for assist to gather information about situation of accident, was developed. It will be possible to develop onboard ship monitoring and voyageprediction system by the VDR visualization system's development in near future.
홈 네트워킹을 위한 ZigBee 모듈의 구현에 관한 연구

최근 많은 주목을 받고 있는 홈 네트워킹은 네트워크를 사용하여 댁내 기기를 원격으로 감시하고 제어할 수 있는 기술이다. 무선 홈 네트워킹 방식은 유선 방식과 비교하여 배선에 따른 비용과 노력이 들지 않아서 기존 주택에 용이하게 적용할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 특히, ZigBee 프로토콜을 사용한 홈 네트워킹은 저렴한 비용과 낮은 전력 등의 장점으로 매우 매력적인 무선 네트워킹 기술 중의 하나로 알려져 있다. 하지만, ZigBee 모듈을 구현하고 홈 네트워크를 구성하는데 있어서는 많은 실제적인 문제점이 존재하고 이들에 대한 적절한 해결책이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 ZigBee 프로토콜을 구현하는 하드웨어와 소프트웨어 모듈의 실제적인 구조를 제안한다. 또한, ZigBee 네트워킹의 구현에 따른 문제점들을 소개하고, 다양한 통신 테스트를 통하여 이들 문제점을 해결하는 효과적인 해결책을 기술한다. Home networking has been noticed as a key technology for the home automation because it is possible to remotely monitor and control the in-house appliances and devices through the network. Wireless home networking method is easily applied to the conventional houses compared to the wired home networking method because of low cost and small effort due to no extra wired works. Especially, home networking using the ZigBee protocol is one of the most attractive technologies in the wireless networking area because of its low cost and low power consumption characteristics. However, there are a lot of practical problems to be solved in implementing the ZigBee module and constructing the wireless network. In this paper, one of the practical structures of the hardware and software modules for implementing the ZigBee protocol is proposed. Moreover, problems in constructing the home networking with the proposed ZigBee module are introduced, and the effective solutions to solve these problems are described through various tests.

Babies in infancy communicate most by crying. Since it is a critical period in the brain development stage, a lot of effort is needed to understand the desire of the baby correctly. In this study, we introduce the analysis of research on babys crying and patterns, and how to classify them using artificial intelligence. The sound source consists of the baby’s crying sample from the existing research, and the pattern is stored and classified. It is transformed into spectrogram image data, visualized, analyzed and preprocessed, and used as learning data for CNN model. This study presents how to implement a system that classify baby’s crying with comparatively higher accuracy than existing research that uses patterns from the average of frequency measurements. If much more input data is verified by experts in the near future, it can be commercialized easily and immediately.

In this study, we implement the electric heating system which is remotely controlled by a smartphone. The app. program is to control micro-controller through bluetooth communications, and it is to operate the electric heating system. In accordance with the amount of space needed, the proposed electric heating device with pressure-sensitive sensors and power semi-conductors can be assembled into arbitrary size. It also provides the ability to control the temperature in each unit cell of electric heating device. Therefore, compared with the existing system, the proposed system has a structure that can reduce electrical energy.
스마트폰으로 제어되는 다중 센서를 내장한 무인 순찰 이동체의 구현

With the development of economy, more and more public facilities and large factories come forth, it is imperative to seek some automatic patrol solutions for reducing costs. So, the implementation of an unmanned patrol vehicle controlled by smartphone is presented in this paper, which includes the mechanical design of the vehicle, the design of control unit based on micro-controller, the system program including navigation algorithm and app. programs based on android platform. The vehicle has been equipped with two differential driven wheels including encoders for navigation, and also contained a GPS sensor and geomagnetic sensor to navigate autonomously the predefined paths. Several experiments were conducted to verify the capability of the vehicle. From the results of experiments, we have been able to conform that the proposed navigation algorithm of the vehicle shows satisfactory performance in the navigation of the predefined paths.
