In order to reduce vehicle accidents, ESC is installed in many contries as a standard. Among ESC, TCS is to request the engine torque increase when the driver press the accelerator pedal while driving. Generally, the speed increase of the vehicle can be predicted by the degree of the force applied to the accelerator pedal. However, the torque does not increase as much as the intention of the driver due to the low friction, gravel road, driving on road which friction ratio ratio are smaller than grips, and many other reasons. In this paper, the engine torque degradation due to the difference of oxygen partial pressure according to the altitude of the internal combustion engine has studied. In addition optimization model has applied to TCS control to maintain aceeleration and compensate the engine torque.
