Pipe system widely used in a ship is usually attached to the hull of a ship, and its vibration lead to structure-borne noise. Rubber mount is usually used as a vibration isolator of a pipe in a ship. In this paper, the effects of several factors, besides the stiffness and damping of the rubber mount, on vibration-isolating performance are taken into consideration. The parameters considered in this paper are hardness of the rubber material, painting on the rubber and deformation from clamping. Through the results of parametric study, the effective specifications of rubber mount are suggested to improve vibration-isolating performance. The performance under fluid flowing condition is calculated numerically and verified experimentally.

In this paper, computer aided analysis technique which can analyze the dynamic properties of tracked vehicles with various structures and driving conditions is developed using multibody dynamics and common dynamic analysis program. Because it is very important to consider the interaction between the track and ground, user-defined subroutines which can calculate the interactive force is developed. This proposed method is compared with a special purpose program and applied to a new tracked vehicle for mining at the deep sea bed.

The indoor noise of the naval vessel is very important related to the optimum environmental conditions for crews as well as the ability of fighting power of antisubmarine. Especially, sonar equipment room is one of the rooms where require to be silent because the informations of the underwater noise are collected and analyzed in there. In this paper, the sound reduction of the TASS console, one of the main noise sources in a sonar equipment room for a typical naval vessel, is described. The noise source of this TASS console is the flowing noise of cooling fan. In order to reduce this kind of noise, the plenum chamber and acoustic elbow were developed. Related to the development of the plenum chamber, the area of the air-outlet and sound absorption of the inner lining were investigated experimentally with the evaluation system of the sound insertion loss. Acoustic elbow was also manufactured and evaluated with the evaluation system of the sound insertion loss. Finally, in order to evaluated the ability of noise reduction of the plenum chamber and acoustic elbow, the indoor noise of the sonar equipment was measured when they were appled to TASS console.

Sensitivity analysis of suspension elements of an articulated bogie for light railway vehicles is presented. The ride, stability and safety are used as dynamic performance index. Suspension elements of 10 and a conicity of wheel are used as design variables. To analyze sensitivity of design variables, the railway vehicle dynamics analysis program AGEM is used. The results shows that the secondary suspension elements have a strong effect on ride and the primary suspension elements have a moderate effect on ride. Conicity of wheel has a strong effect on the stability. The safety is not effected by all the design variables.
수치해석을 위한 방진 마운트의 동적 특성 결정 및 검증

고무재료의 비선형적인 특성으로 인해 고무재질 방진 마운트의 탄성계수와 감쇠계수는 주파수에 따라 달라 진다. 따라서 고무재질의 방진 마운트 설계 시 마운트의 동적 특성을 반드시 고려해야만 한다. 특히, 수치해석을 수 행하는데 있어 해석결과는 마운트의 동적 강성 고려 여부에 따라 크게 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 한국 해군에서 승인 되어 사용되고 있는 특정 표준 마운트에 대해 실험적으로 동적 특성을 정의하였으며, 이러한 동적 특성을 적용한 경우와 적용하지 않은 경우에 대해 수행한 수치해석 결과와 실험 결과를 비교하였다. Because the non-linear property of the rubber, the elastic modulus and damping factor of the rubber mount are dependent on the frequency. Therefore, the dynamic properties of the rubber mount should be considered when the anti-vibration mount is designed. Especially, when the numerical analysis is performed, the results can have much errors not considering the dynamic characteristics of the rubber mount. In this paper, the dynamic properties of typical standard rubber mount approved by ROK navy are defined experimentally and the results from the numerical analysis and experiment are compared for considering and non-considering the dynamic properties of the rubber mount respectively.

In an electric traction system in which power is supplied from a catenary via a pantograph, the mechanical design of the catenary and pantograph is clearly of importance in relation to the problem of current collection at high speed. A computer-simulation technique is used to study the effects of changing parameters of pantograph and catenary on the quality of current collection at high speed. The current collection system is evaluated on the basis of the contact-force variations and displacement responses of the pantograph and contact wire. This study shows that current-collection quality is determined primarily by the overhead line parameters rather than by the pantograph. The results can be applied to optimize the design of current-collection systems.

It is important to predict the crash behavior of trains to improve their crashworthiness. This paper investigates the simulation of high-speed train crashes in three dimensions using multibody dynamics. At present, little is known about three-dimensional crash simulations. This study shows that it is possible to simulate overriding and lateral buckling, including results from one- or two-dimensional simulations. Several parameters, however, such as computational time and large deformation of structures, need further investigation

Indoor noise is very important related to the morale and fighting power of the crew as well as environmental condition for them in a navel vessel. Especially, the crew members working in CIC (combat information center) and sonar equipment room require much more quiet environment condition. One of the most serious noise source in CIC is the cooling fan noise installed in the console of the combat system. Therefore, in this paper, the design of the plenum chamber is studied to reduce the noise of the fan from these consoles by numerical analysis and experiment.
