한국 공직선거 투표용지의 색채에 관한 연구 - 색각이상 유권자 관점에서의 투표용지 시뮬레이션 -

본 연구의 목적은 올해 초 이루어진 공직선거관리규칙의 개정을 배경으로 한국의 공직선거에서 사용되는 현행 투표용지들의 색채를 유니버설 디자인의 관점에서 평가하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 투표용지의 색채를 결정하는 법적 근거를 우선 검토하고, 특히 색약, 색맹 등 색각이상을 지닌 유권자들의 관점에서 시뮬레이션을 실행하여 현행 투표용지의 색채를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 투표용지들을 색채로써 구분하기 위해 규정을 개정한 효과는 (1) 일부 색각이상 유권자들에게는 유효하게 나타난 반면, (2) 일부 색각이상 유권자들에게는 전혀 유효하지 않거나 (3) 오히려 기존의 문제를 더욱 악화하는 것으로 나타났다. 현재의 인쇄 방식과 기술 수준을 고려한다면, 완전히 새로운 색채 체계를 사용하여 투표용지를 제작하는 것까지도 가능하다. 따라서 적절한 색채 조합을 발견하기만 한다면 문제를 간단히 해결할 수 있다. 이러한 노력과 함께 색각이상자의 투표편의를 증대하기 위한 선거제도 연구가 지속적으로 필요하다. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the color system of the current ballot paper revised by South Korea's Regulations on the Management of the Public Official Election from the perspective of universal design. For this purpose, the legal basis of voting ballot color determination method used in Korean public election was examined, and the color design of the current ballot papers was analyzed by simulation from the viewpoint of color weaknesses and color blindness. The findings of this study are as follows: (1) Its effect of the revised regulations that allowed each ballot to distinguish from other ballots, was found to be valid for some color anomalies. (2) The revised ballot papers were not valid for some other color anomalies. (3) Or, there were rather deterioration of existing problems. The Korean ballot print methods are currently capable of using a completely new color system. Therefore, the problems are simply solvable by introducing the new ballot color system. Furthermore, it is also needed to study and suggest new voting systems for color disabled constantly.

인공지능 기반 로고디자인 툴의 가능성에 대한 탐색적 실험

근래 인공지능 기술의 급속한 발전에 따라, AI 기반 디자인 툴이 사람 디자이너를 대체할 것인지, 디자인 업무가 새롭게 규정될 것인지에 대해 논의되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 AI 기반 로고디자인 툴의 가능성과 한계를 탐색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 AI디자인툴을 쓰는 비디자이너, AI디자인툴을 쓰는 디자이너, AI디자인툴을 쓰지 않는 디자이너를 모집하여 스타트업의 로고를 2개씩 디자인하게 하고, 설문조사로 이를 평가하였다. 102명의 설문참가자들은 6개 시안의 선호도와 전달력을 7점 척도로 평가하였고, AI에 의해 만들어진 안을 추측하였다. 통계분석 후에는 로고를 만든 실험참가자들이 모여 FGI를 진행했다. 설문결과 선호도에서는 비디자이너가 AI로 만든 로고가 가장 선호되었으며, 전달력에서는 디자이너가 AI를 쓰지 않고 만든 로고가 가장 좋게 평가되었다. 참가자들은 AI로 만든 디자인 안이 무엇인지 잘 판별하지 못했으며, AI로 만든 안보다 사람 디자이너가 만든 안이 더 우수하다고 기대했다. FGI에서, AI기반 로고디자인 툴은 생산성이 뛰어난 반면 디테일한 조정이 불가능한 단점이 있다는 의견이 수렴되었다. 이상의 연구를 통해 AI기반 로고디자인 툴은 전문가 못지않은 결과물을 낼 수 있으며, 사람 디자이너가 만든 결과물과 쉽게 구분되지 않는다는 점을 확인하였다. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology in recent years, it is being discussed whether AI-powered design tools will replace human designers or whether design work will be newly defined. This study aim to explore the possibilities and limitations of AI-powered logo design tools. We recruited non-designer using AI tool, designer using AI tool, and designer using traditional method, and made them to design six logos for a certain startup, and evaluated the logos by online survey. 102 participants evaluated the preference and vision-delivery of the logos and speculated which logo were made by AI. As a results, a logo made by the non-designers using AI tool was most preferred, and a logo made by designers using traditional method was best evaluated at the vision-delivery. Participants couldn't distinguished which logos were made by AI tool, and expected that the human design would be better than the AI design. At FGI, three logo makers agreed that the AI design tool was productive but could not be adjusted in detail. AI design tool can produce the same result as expert, and it was confirmed that it is not easily distinguished from human made design.
