대학생의 내면화된 수치심과 사회적 효능감의 관계 : 개방성과 사회불안의 매개효과

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 내면화된 수치심과 개방성, 사회불안이 이들의 사회적 효능감에 어떠한 방식으로 영향을 미치는지 탐색하는 데 있다. 본 연구에는 서울과 충남권에 소재한 4년제 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 239명이 참여하였다. 수집된 자료를 분석하는 데는 기술통계 분석과 상관관계 분석 및 AMOS 프로그램을 활용한 매개모형 검증 방법을 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 내면화된 수치심과 사회적 효능감의 관계에서 개방성과 사회 불안은 유의한 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 구체적으로 살펴보면, 내면화된 수치심은 사회적 효능감에 직접효과를 가지지 않았고, 개방성과 사회불안을 매개하여 유의한 간접효과만을 나타냈다. 매개효과의 개별 경로의 유의성을 팬텀변수를 사용한 부트스트랩 검증으로 확인한 결과, 내면화된 수치심이 개방성과 사회불안을 순차적으로 매개하여 사회적 효능감에 영향을 미치는 경로와 사회불안만을 매개하는 경로가 모두 유의하였다. 사회불안은 대학생의 내면화된 수치심과 사회적 효능감의 관계, 개방성과 사회적 효능감의 관계 모두에서 완전 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 분석 결과에 입각하여 대학생을 대상으로 한 사회불안 및 사회성 프로그램에 대한 시사점을 제언하고 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언점을 기술하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships among internalized shame, openness, and social anxiety how those factors influence social efficacy. In a study of 239 undergraduates in the Seoul and Chung-Nam area, the analysis of descriptive statistics, correlation and AMOS(Analysis of Moment Structures) were used to investigate a mediation model. Results indicated that there was significant mediating effects in the relationship among internalized shame and social efficacy, openness and social anxiety. To be specific, internalized shame did not have a direct effect on social efficacy, but represented a significant indirect effect by mediating openness and social anxiety. Testing a bootstrapping with a phantom variable to verify the significance of a mediating effect of each path, internalized shame was significantly correlated with social efficacy by mediating openness and social anxiety in order. Also, there was a significant mediating effect of openness on the relationship between internalized shame and social anxiety. Social anxiety had direct mediating effects on the relationship between internalized shame and social efficacy and between openness and social efficacy of undergraduates. Lastly, research proposed an implication on social anxiety and social skills programs for undergraduates based on the results. Also, the limitations of this study and suggestions for further research were provided.
