Because a change in the natural frequencies of a structure indicates structural health problems, monitoring the natural frequencies crucial. Long-term measurement for the Uldolmok tidal current power plant structure has shown that its natural frequencies fluctuate with a constant cycle twice a day. In this study, lab-scale tests to investigate the causes of these natural frequency fluctuations were carried out in a circulating water channel. Three independent variables in the tests that could affect the fluctuation of the natural frequencies were the water level, current velocity, and boundary condition between the specimen and the bottom of the circulating water channel. The experimental results were verified with numerical ones using ABAQUS. It was found that the fluctuation of the natural frequencies was governed by a decrease in stiffness due to the boundary condition much more than the effect of added mass. In addition, it was found that the natural frequency would decrease with an increase in the tidal current velocity because of its nonlinearity when the boundary condition was severely deteriorated due to damage.

The conventional fixed gain PI controlle is very sensitive to step change of command speed, parameter variation and load disturbances. The precise speed control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) drive becomes a complex issue due to nonlinear coupling among its winding currents and the rotor speed as well as the nonlinear electromagnetic developed torque. Therefore, there exists a need to tune the PI controller parameters on-line to ensure optimum drive performance over a wide range of operating conditions. This paper proposes high performance control of IPMSM drive using bybrid intelligent-PI(HIPI) controller, model reference adaptive fuzzy control(MFC). The proposed control algorithm is applied to IPMSM drive system controlled ALM-FNN, MFC. Also, this paper proposes the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the HIPI, MFC controller.

??In this paper proposed the solar tracking system to use direct fuzzy control order to increase an output of the PV (Photovoltaic) array. The solar tracking system operated two DC motors driving by signal of photo sensor. The control of dual axes is not an easy task due to nonlinear dynamics and unavailability of the parameters. Recently, artificial intelligent control of the fuzzy control, neural-network and genetic algorithm etc. have been studied. The fuzzy control made a nonlinear dynamics to well perform and had a robust and highly efficient characteristic about a parameter variable as well as a nonlinear characteristic. Hence the fuzzy control was used to perform the tracking system after comparing with error values of setting-up, nonlinear altitude and azimuth. In this paper designed a DFC(Direct Fuzzy Control)controller for improving output of PV array and evaluated comparison with efficient of conventional PI controller. The data which were obtained by experiment were able to show a validity of the proposed controller.

This paper proposes a novel maximum power point tracking(MPPT) control algorithm considering insolation to improve efficiency of PV system. The propoed algorithm is composed perturb and observe(PO) method and constant voltage(CV) method. PO method is simple to realize and CV method is possible to tracking MPP with low insolation. Response characteristics of proposed algorithm is compared to conventional PO method with insolation variation. This paper proves the validity of proposed algorithm through the analysis result.

In order to maximize the efficiency in such applications, this paper proposes the Adaptive-FNIS(Fuzzy Neural Network Inference System). The controllable electrical loss which consists of the copper loss and the iron loss can be minimized by the optimal d-axis current i<SUB>d</SUB>. This paper considers the parameter variation about the motor operation. The operating characteristics controlled by efficiency optimization control are examined in detail.

The paper is proposed maximum torque control of SynRM drive using adaptive fuzzy neuro inference system(AFNlS) and artificial neural network(ANN). The control method is applicable over the entire speed range and considered the limits of the inverter's current and voltage rated value. For each control mode, a condition that determines the optimal d-axis current ?<SUB>d</SUB> for maximum torque operation is derived. The proposed control algorithm is applied to SynRM drive system controlled AFNIS and ANN controller, the operating characteristics controlled by maximum torque control are examined in detail. Also. this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the AFNIS and ANN controller.

The paper is proposed artificial neural network(ANN) sensorless control of induction motor drive with fuzzy learning control-fuzzy neural network(FLC-FNN) controller. The hybrid combinationof neural network and fuzzy control will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed speed control of induction motor using FLC-FNN and estimation of speed using ANN controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system controlled FLC-FNN and ANN controller, Also, this paper is proposed the analysis results to verify the effectiveness of the FLC-FNN and ANN controller.
