Capnocytophaga속 균주들의 plasmid DNA 분포 및 특성

To investigate the distribution and characterization of plasmids in Capnocytophaga strains, the plasmid DNA was screened, and the comparative physiological studies and curing tests were performed in these strains. Through these studies, the results obtained were as follows. 1. All tested Capnocytophaga strains were resistant to erythromycin, ampicillin and kanamycin with exception of C. haemolytica ATCC 51501. C. ochracea ATCC 27872 strain, C sputegina ATCC 33612 strain and C. gingivalis ATCC 33624 strains were resistant to streptomycin. 2. Capnocytophaga strains had inhibitory action on the growth of Streptococcus sanguis KCTC 3284 and Streptococcus mitis KCTC 3217 among the oral streptococci tested. 3. It was found that the curing rate in C. ochracea ATCC 27872 strain was 8.3% and in that of C. gingivalis ATCC 33624 strain was 6.8% in the curing test with ethidium bromide and proper antibiotics. In C. sputegina ATCC 33612, C. granulosa ATCC 51502, and C. haemolytica ATCC 51501 strain, curing was not occured. All plasmids detected in Capnocytophaga strains have there complete replication system and ampicillin resistance gene system. 4. Four strains among tested Capnocytophaga strains had plasmid DNA. C. ochracea ATCC 27872 strain had two different plasmids(3.1kb and 3.8kb). C. sputegina ATCC 33612, C. gingivalis ATCC 33624, and C. granulosa ATCC 51502 strains had all identical 62.1kb plasmid.
