The friction coefficient of the rubber for clutch master cylinder were experimentally measured in this study. The cylinderical rubber samples for primary cup-seal and secondary cup-seal were tested against the aluminum or the steel plates of master cylinder housing under the various conditions of brake oil temperatures and normal loads. Dry sliding friction coefficients were also measured under various load conditions.<br/> The test revealed following results. First, the friction coefficient under fluid lubrication condition in general decreases, as the oil temperature or normal load increases. Second, the steel plate of low surface roughness yielded comparatively low friction coefficient on the range of 0.30~0.67 while the aluminum plate of high surface roughness yielded high friction coefficient on the range of 0.31 ~1.15. Third, the friction coefficient of dry surface contact decreases as the normal load increases contrary to the general principle of friction coefficient between metal plates.<br/>

Experiments and numerical analysis has been carried out for improvement and development of small hot water pump. The selection of pump for bench marking has been made among the products currently in use. The performance curve with the related properties with respect to volumetric flowrate has been obtained by experiment and compared with numerical analysis using FLUENT/UNS. A comparison with experiment and numerical analysis shows that the results of numerical analysis are represented to be quite good with those of experiments, and numerical analysis can be utilized as a good tool for prediction of pump design changes. Parametric studies in terms of space between impellar and casing, diffuser aspect ration, number and shape of impellar are also presented on the pump performance.

The chattering and reversal thud generate an objectionable noise and affect the performance of the automotive windshield wiper system. The numerical results of the frictional contact analysis using ABAQUS and processes may be utilized in industry for the optimization of the windshield wiper system, Stability of the dimensional wiper blade has been studied numerically and successful results for the aforementioned phenomena. Also which will be useful to locate the effective position of arch shaped.
