Circular tube jet occurs when the motion rates of jet and neighboring flow are high aryl accompanied with recirculating flow, Many studies have been conducted on the circular tube jet(1, 2, 3). Experiments on heat transfer at a wall suface(4) and on flow recognition(5) indicate that maximum point of heat transfer rate was not coincided with the reattachment point of jet if recirculating flow exists. The purpose of this study was to interpretate the mechanism of turbulence heat transfer in recirculating flow, The turbulence flow was measured in recirculating area of circular tube jet using Laser Doppler Anemometer, In additions shear stress at a wall surface was measured to explain how high level of turbulence flow stimulates heat transfer and flow velocity was measured using Laser Dopper anemometer.

Today, Korea faces much problems in supply for electrical energy resources. Since the crisis of forssil fuel oils in 1970' s the installation of nuclear power plants is increasing. The uses of LNG and anthracite as fuel-saving have also increased. As industrization becomes higher and economy gets better, demand for electric power network load and better quality electricity as well as for better environment and counter measures against pollution is rapidly increasing. Thus, research on hydraulic power generation for peak load is urgently needed. The objectives of this study are to calculate accurate input valve of Francis' turbine by new experimental methods, to develop a theoretical program for analyzing the valves measured at actual turbin, to extimate changes in electric output from actual turbin and their future deplete trends, and to properly understand the break-even-point between alternative plan for current facilities turbine. Thus, efficiencies for electric output could be raised from this study.
