Structures under high temperature may have creep behavior and fatigue behavior. Durability study of the structures need the damage analysis with the creep-fatigue effects. In this paper, the damage analysis is studied for a turbine blade in the turbopump for a liquid rocket engine which is operated under high temperature condition. First of all, the load cycle is required for defining the operational characteristics of turbopump. The thermal stress analysis is done for a turbine blade of the turbopump. The stress analysis results are used to judge damage due to the creep and the fatigue. The strain-life method with miner rule is used for fatigue damage analysis. The Larson-Miller parameter master curve and robinson rule are used for the creep damage analysis. The linear damage summation method is used to consider creep-fatigue effects of turbopump turbine. Finally, the analysis results for fatigue and the influence are compared to figure out the damage phenomenon of the turbopump turbine.

Background : The visible cutaneous pigmentary response to ultraviolet A(UVA) is immediate, whereas ultraviolet B(UVB)-induced pigmentation appears after a delay of several days. However, some investigators reported that UVA also can induce delayed taniing. Objective : In order to determine whether the pigmentation induceil by UVA irradiation is accompanied by melanocytes responses which are the same or different from those following a UVB-indueed tan, we irraiated malignant melanoma cells to UVA or UVB. Method : On the 7th day after irradiation of UVA or UVB, we exa nined the cell counts and the melanin content of control and experimental groups. Results : Although a dose of 10 J/cm decreased the number of manignant melanoma cells, there was no significant difference between the control and UVA-exposure griiups. But there was a significant decrease after UVB-exposun. UVB-exposure groups showed a significant increase of melanin cortent. A dose of 10 J/cm of UVA also induced a significant increase of melanin content. Conclusions : The data suggest that UVA at a clinically relevant dose has a significant effect on human melanocytes. So, UVA very likely plays a role in the increased, melanization associated with delayed tanning. (Kor J Derrnatol 1993;31(5):732-737)

Background : The influencion the environment on a culture is expressed via four routes. (1) the nature of the substrate or phase on or in which the cells grow (2) the physicochemical and physiological constitution of the medium, (3) the constitution of the gas phase, and (4) the incubation temperature. Melanization is closely related to the constitution and amounts of amino acids in the medium. Objectjve : The aim of this study is to investigate whether there are some differences of proliferation and melanization in cultured B,F, mouse melanoma cells according to different culture media. Methods : We examined the color of cell pellet, cell morphology, electron microscopic findings, cell counts and melanin conlensin BgF mouse melanoma cells cultured in Dulbeccos modified Eagles medium(DMEM), F-10, MCDB 153, Minimal essential medium(MEM), and RPMI 1640, respectively. Results : 1. The color of cell pellet., ringed from dark gray to light brown. The order of the darkness was DMEM, MEM, RPMI 1640, MCDB 153, and F-10 medium. 2. Most Bg, mouse melanoma cells had an epithelioid morphology, but a few cells in MCDB 153 medium showed dendrites. On the 4th day after culture, the cells in F-10 medium were larger than those in the other media. 3. In the electron microscopic. findings, BF, mouse melanoma cells in DMEM and MEM con tained numerous stage IV nelanosomes, however, those in RPMI 1640 and MCDB 153 medium contained a few, and those in F-10 medium did few. 4. The number of BF, mouse melanoma cells were 1.42 + 0.06 x 10, 1.42 + 0.12 x 10, l. 17 + 0.08 x 10, 0.73 0.06 x 10, 0.32 0.01 x 10, in RPMI 1640, DMEM, MEM, F 10, and MCDB 153 medium, respectively. 5. In the MTT assay, the order of the optical density of B,F, mouse melanoma cells in various media was as followings, DMEM, RPMI 1640, MEM, F-10, and MCDB 153. 6. Compared with the melanin contents of B;F, mouse melanoma cells in DMEM, they were 77.97% in MEM, 67.91% in RPMI 1640 and MCDB 153 medium, and 55.94% in F-10 medium. Conclusion : The phenotypic changes of BF, mouse melanoma cells were induced by various culture rnedia and were reversilvle. Since the phenotypes of cells can be changed by the culture media, researchers should choose the appropriate culture medium for the cells. (Kor J Dermatol 1995;33(5): 914-921)
KC-100 엔진 마운트 구조물의 정적 구조 해석 및 시험

KC-100 is composite small aircraft which developed for BASA(Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement) agreement and making inroads into the North America market. Engine Mount Structural(EMS) installed in KC-100 takes charge of supporting the Engine and transmitting the loads of Engine and nose landing gear. For analyzing the EMS, Linear gap elements, RBE 2 elements and MPC are used to realize the bulkhead boundary condition, contact condition between Engine and EMS, and appropriate the load condition. Load analysis FE model is used the EMS design tool, detail FE model reflected the weld joint section is used to analyze the stress distribution. Also, static test is performed to verify the structural analysis results. The comparing the results between the structural analysis results and test results ascertain the high accuracy, the process of EMS structural analysis and test may help the design the small aircraft EMS.

The estimation of fatigue integrity is very important for aerospace structures such as engine mount strut. The reason is that the fatigue integrity is essential analysis process to establish the structural stability in aerospace field. Therefore, in this paper, the process of fatigue analysis and test was performed for engine mount strut to prove the structural fatigue integrity. First of all, the fatigue load spectrum is constructed by considering the small aircraft operating condition. Fatigue analysis is done for the cluster near the welding zone which may have F.C.L.(fracture critical location). The fatigue life of engine mount strut was estimated by the Miner`s rule which is the damage summation method. Finally, Fatigue test is performed to verify the fatigue integrity. The estimation process of fatigue integrity for engine mount strut of small aircraft may help the design.
