Tape-wrapped composite structures have been generally used in a nozzle part of guided missiles and a position control system in space satellite. The laminated form of tape-wrapped composites is so complicated to describe the mechanical behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to develop sophisticated analytical equations for the tape-wrapped composites. This research develops analytical solutions for the tape-warpped composite cylinder and investigates the thermal stress distribution on the cylinder with respect to the angle of thickness direction.

Background: The influence of social capital on the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and related behaviors andperceptions has been recognized during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the trends in social capital using primarydata from the Korean Community Health Survey, which is the only available source in Korea for local-level social capital analysis. Italso investigates the relationship between various variables, including social capital, as factors influencing COVID-19–relatedbehaviors and perceptions. Methods: The study analyzed the temporal trends of social capital using raw data from four community health surveys conductedin 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021. A multilevel analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between social capital and COVID-19–related behaviors and perceptions following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Results: Social capital consists of trust, bonding social capital, and bridging social capital. Within the trust sub-factor, trust inneighbors (Trust-1) declined after the COVID-19 pandemic, whereas trust in safety and general environment (Trust-2) and trust inmedical services and public transportation (Trust-3) increased. Additionally, the gap between municipalities narrowed. COVID-19–related behaviors and perceptions, such as adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures, return to normal activities, and fear ofCOVID-19, showed improvement in 2021 compared to the previous year. Individual-level trust in neighbors was associated withreduced fear of COVID-19, while community-level trust in neighbors was associated with increased fear of COVID-19. Conclusion: Social capital plays a role in mitigating public health crises, and it is necessary to implement active policies that addressthe gap in social capital between metropolitan and rural areas. Strengthening risk communication regarding emerging infectiousdiseases such as COVID-19 is crucial.

Past studies on organizational accountability have had similar limitations. First, empirical evidence of organizational accountability is rare as the majority of research takes a conceptual approach of the topic. Only a few of these studies are applicable to health care organizations (HCOs). To fill these gaps, we attempted to develop a model for analysis of organizational accountability for HCOs. Accountability for HCOs was conceptualized by two axes: answerability(X, horizontal) and value-creation(Y, vertical). Our concept building could relieve competing accountability mechanism which past studies stressed. Four elements of accountability(legal, economical, social, and clinical) were applied to specify each of the two features of organizational accountability. And then four types of accountability behavior were coordinated by this x-y axis: high A/high VC, high A/low VC, low A/high VC, low A/low VC. Finally, a multidimensional model of HCOs’ accountability, enabling an empirically testable multi-level analysis, was proposed.

Objectives: This study investigated how Korean daily newspapers frame the present government’s health insurance coverage expansion policy, Moon Jae-in Care. Methods: A contents analysis was conducted to construct news frames represented in the four Korean daily newspapers’ editorials and columns on Moon Jae-in Care during from April 2017 to April 2018. News text was classified into three different layers of frames: expressive element, narrative structure, and implied values. Results: The analysis revealed that the frequency of narrative frames was as follows: health system improvement (20.8%), public burden (14.6%), opposition by doctors (14.6%), and populism (12.5%). The financial sustainability accounted for 41.7% of the value frame, followed by procedural legitimation (18.8%), and coverage expansion (16.7%). The results also revealed that reported frames were different among newspapers: Chosun Ilbo tended to report in a negative tone, while Hankyoreh shinmun and Kyunghyang shinmun used a positive tone. Conclusions: This finding suggests that there are salient framings in reports on Moon Jae-in Care. Based on the results, the government needs to present a detailed financing plan on Moon Jae-in Care in detail. I discussed another implication of media frames results.
