Embedded software is integrated in electronics to operate defined functions and widely used in telecommunication, aerospace, medical and automobile industry. Embedded software in Automobile industry continues to increase in real-time system and safety-critical system for operating and control. Embedded software’s calculation result must be provided promptly in each system. Software brings so many advantages such as comfort and safety, the other side complexity of the vehicle cause frequent breakdown due to software failure. Therefore research of the embedded software reliability is needed to produce reliable software for vehicle. In this paper, Weibull distribution is considered to evaluate software reliability and some NHPP models are introduced.

Collecting all failures during life cycle of vehicle is not easy way because its life cycle is normally over 10 years. Warranty period can help gathering failures data because most customers try to repair its failures during warranty period even though small failures. This warranty data, which means failures during warranty period, can be a good resource to predict initial reliability and permanence reliability. However uncertainty regarding reliability prediction remains because this data is censored. University of Wuppertal and major auto supplier developed the reliability prognosis model considering censored data and this model introduce to predict reliability estimate further “failure candidate”. This paper predicts reliability of telecommunications system in vehicle using the model and describes data structure for reliability prediction.

ISO 26262 for development and produce of Safety-related electrical and electronics product in the automotive industry standards is underway. The standard supporting whole develop-phase of E/E/PE is getting important in automotive industry because E/E/PE can prevent accidents or minimize the accidents. This paper introduces to analysis the safety using RBD and FTA. Finally, the importance of reliability are analyzed using the Reliability importance such as Birnbaum’ and Structural importance.

Because reliability is the important attribute in quality management, reliable components are necessary needed to produce high quality vehicle. Each component are certified by the reliability tests, but a vehicle, the components are integrated, has a breakdown due to an unexpected failure or predicted reliability of the components when it is operate. The reliability test covers wide range than normal condition. But it is not consider all situations. Reliability test during real operating has benefit to collect more situations because it considers various environment and behavior of drivers. This paper introduces the reliability prediction model based on operating failure and discuses its application.

A Failure data from operating condition includes various failures. Reliability evaluation by operating condition is more correct than test condition. Additional, the evaluation result by operating condition is widely used for quality assurance, forecasting amount of manufacturing at EOL. To discover valuable things from the failure data, arrangement of the failure data and information technique to handle data is needed among many failure data. This paper introduces a reliability prediction program to solve this problem based on the failure. And new technologies for parameters estimation with method of Graphic-Wizard-Parameters-Estimation and Genetic Algorithm are introduced.

There are various types of hydrogen production methods, but among them, the alkaline water electrolysis method produces hydrogen by electrolyzing water, and unlike other methods, it can produce green hydrogen that does not emit pollutants and greenhouse gases. There are many different potential risk factors inherent in the water electrolysis process. So it is necessary to predict an emergency situation in advance and to safely manage and take countermeasures according to the emergency situation. Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS) CODE AH271 stipulates legal matters to secure safety, but it is not detalied. Thus it is necessary to take measures to safely control and manage it according to the situation in which an emergency stop is required. In this study, based on KGS CODE and HAZOP for alkaline water electrolysis facilities, factors that can cause emergency situations were derived and countermeasures were prepared.

Efforts are continuing to change from fossil fuels used to hydrogen energy society. In order to become a hydrogen society, stable production and real-life applicability are important. As a result, hydrogen generation system linked to fuel cell are being developed. Through this, it is expected that production to power generation will be possible where desired by utilizing the existing urban gas piping network. Hydrogen generation system and hydrogen fuel cell have been subjected to risk assessment and have already been commercialized, but no risk assessment has been conducted on the integrated system linking them. Therefore, it is intended to secure its safety by conducting a risk analysis on the integrated system.
