워터제트에 의해 추진되는 해군 함정에 정착하기 위하여 고속 추진용 사류형 펌프를 독자적인 기술로서 수력설계 및 유동해석을 수행한 후, 축소모델을 제작하고 성능을 시험하였다. 축소모델 센터펌프의 성능을 시험한 결과, 개발된 펌프는 수력효율이 88.1%이고, 우수한 캐비테이션 성능과 선희유동 성분이 작은 고효율 출구유동을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.

Low NPSH and high pressure pumps are widely used for turbopump systems, which have an inducer and operate at high rotating speeds. In this paper, a meanline method has been established for the preliminary design and performance prediction of pumps having an inducer for cavitating or non-cavitating conditions and at design or off-design points. The method was applied for the performance prediction of a fuel pump, which had been developed by Hyundai Mobis in collaboration with KeRC for a liquid rocket engine. The engine uses liquid methane and liquid oxygen as working fluids and rotates at 50,000 rpm. KeRC carried out a model testing of the fuel pump with water as a working fluid at the reduced speed (10,000~15,000 rpm). Predicted performances by the method are shown to be in good agreement with experimental results for cavitating and non-cavitating conditions. The established meanline method can be used for the performance prediction and preliminary design of high speed pumps which have a inducer, impeller and volute.
구기자나무 유식물체를 이용한 식물체의 재분화와 극성과의 관계

구기자나무로부터 캘러스의 형성과 shoot의 형성에 미치는 생장조절제의 영향을 연구한 결과 캘러스의 형성은 2,4-D를 포함하는 배지에서 효과적이었으나 shoot의 형성에는 억제효과를 보였다. Shoot의 형성은 0.1mg/L IAA + 0.1mg/L BA의 배지에서 형성률과 절편당 형성 개체수가 가장 높은 분화율을 보였다. 절편체의 부위에 극성에 다른 캘러스의 형성과 shoot의 재분화에 있어서는 자엽의 기부와 말단부를 20% 절제한 절편의 기부의 절단면에서는 shoot의 형성이, 하부의 절단면에서는 캘러스의 형성이 높았으며 시간이 경과함에 따라 하부에서도 shoot의 형성이 보였다. 재분화식물은 1/3 MS 배지에서 뿌리가 양호하게 발달하였으며 토양 순화과정에서도 90% 이상의 생존율을 보여 개화가 이루어졌다. This experiment was conducted out to investigate the effect of plant growth regulators on callus and shoot formation. The callus formation was effective on 1/2 MS medium containing 2,4-D, while shoot formation was suppressed. Shoot formation and differentiation were the highest in combination 0.1 mg/L of IAA and 0.1 mg/L of BA. The polarity of explants was investigated from cotyledon, which excised 20% of each basal and terminal parts. Formation of shoot was induced from excised ends of the basal part. In excised ends of the basal part, callus was induced vigorously and shoots were produced lately. Root induction was easily achieved in 1/3 MS medium from the adventitious shoot and more than 90% of regenerated plantlets acclimatized successfully and flowered normally.

The hydraulic performances of a Francis turbine which had been designed and tested by IMHEF were calculated with a commercial code and compared with the IMHEF test results. The non-dimensional specific speed of the turbine is 0.5, the runner exit diameter 0.4m and maximum efficiency 93.1% respectively. To make the calculation of the turbine more exact, the stay vanes, the guide vane, the runner and the draft tube were calculated simultaneously. The calculation results gave a quite good agreement with the IMHEF test data, and therefore it is expected that the present calculation technique will be utilized for the hydraulic design of efficient Francis turbines.

A circulating pump with installation space constraints was developed satisfying performance requirements such as flowrate, head and NPSHAv. The development procedures are composed of conceptual design, configuration design, performance analysis by CFD and performance test which were established in KIMM. The developed pump is OH4 type centrifugal pump which has a mixed-flow type impeller, a double volute and a rigid coupling. As a result of tests, the pump proved to meet all the requirements including space constraints and performance.

The hydraulic design optimization and performance analysis of mixed-flow pumps for waterjet marine vehicle propulsion has been carried out using mean streamline analysis and three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code. In the present study, the conceptual design optimization has been formulated with a non-linear objective function to minimize the fluid dynamic losses, and then the commercial CFD code was incorporated to allow for detailed flow dynamic phenomena in the pump system. Newly designed mixed-flow model pump has been tested in the laboratory. Predicted performance curves by the CFD code agree very well with experimental data for a newly designed mixed-flow pump over the normal operating conditions. The design and prediction method presented herein can be used efficiently as a unified hydraulic design process of mired-flow pumps for waterjet marine vehicle propulsion.

Simple spanwise distribution models of deviation angle and pressure loss coefficient due to the tip leakage flow are formulated for use in association with the streamline curvature method as a flow analysis. Combining these new models with the previous deviation and loss models due to secondary flow, a robust streamline curvature method is established for flow analysis of single-stage, subsonic axial turbines with wide ranges of turning angle, aspect ratio and blading type. At the exit from rotor rows, the flow variables are mixed radially according to a spanwise transport equation. The proposed streamline curvature method is tested against a forced vortex type turbine as well as a free vortex type one. The results show that the spanwise variations of flow angle, axial velocity and loss coefficients at rotor exit are predicted with good accuracy, being comparable to a steady three-dimensional Navier-Stokes analysis. This simple and fast flow analysis is found to be very useful for the turbine design at the initial design phase.
L. longiflorum X L. elegans의 잡종 배로부터 캘러스의 증식 및 식물체 재분화

L. longifilorum Georgia $\times$ L. elegans Kakutanohikari 잡종 배로부터 유식물체를 분화시키고, 이때 유도된 캘러스의 증식과 이 캘러스로부터 유식물체 분화과정을 조직학적으로 관찰하였다. 잡종 배는 배양한 60개 절편 중 48개 절편에서 86개체의 배주가 발아되었으며, 1 mg/L NAA가 캘러스로부터 식물체의 재분화에 가장 효과적이었으며, 재분화를 억제한 캘러스만을 증식시키기 위해서는 0.1 mg/L NAA + 1 mg/L BA가 가장 양호하였다. 또한 Pyridoxin-HCI을 첨가하지 않은 경우에는 유식물체의 재분화가 거의 보이지 않았으며 50 mg/L의 Pyridoxin-HCI을 첨가한 배지에서 유식물체의 재분화가 가장 효과적이었다. 배에서 발생된 캘러스의 원형성층 지역으로부터 체세포배가 형성되었으며, NAA가 전형성층 부분에서 배발생적 세포 또는 전배 발생의 증식을 자극하는 것으로 생각되었다. This study was performed to investigate regeneration of plants differentiated from hybrid embryos between L. longifilorum Georgia and L. elegans Kakutanohikari. In addition, proliferation of callus and process of differentiation were investigated by histological observation. The germination of hybrid embryos was observed in 86 individuals from 48 slice cultures. Plant regeneration was effective on a medium supplemented with 1 mg/L HPh, and only callus proliferation was the highest in combination of 0.1 mg/L HPh and 1 mg/L BA. Also, plant regeneration was the most effective on a medium supplemented with 50 mg/L pyridoxine. We concluded that somatic embryos were formed from procambium of callus and proliferation of embryonic or proembryonic cells were stimulated with NAA from procambial cells.
