This study aims to examine the effect of empowerment on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and turnover intention in hotel culinary staffs. For achieving this purpose, 250 copies of questionnaires were distributed to culinary staffs in 10 five-star hotels located in Seoul for 15 days from April 1st to 15th 2015 and 240 copies(96%) were used for statistical analysis except 10 ones with unreliable responses and missing responses. For analyzing demographic characteristics of the subjects, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Pearson``s correlation analysis was performed and for verifying the research hypothesis, structural equation modeling-based analysis was carried out. All the data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. The study finding showed that empowerment positively affected job satisfaction and organizational commitment and job satisfaction and organizational commitment negatively affected turnover intention. This means that organizational commitment increases and turnover intention decreases in empowered culinary staffs, because they are satisfied with their job.
