Among the aircrafts propulsion systems, the S-duct, which efficiently delivers air to the engine, is being developed in a shape that is shorter and more curved in length for the purpose of securing space. This curved shape may cause non-uniform flow inside, causing surge in the engine, which may affect fan performance. Using three-dimensional CFD, RAE-M2129 ducts and NASA Rotor 37 were evaluated for duct performance on the engine inlet surface(AIP) and distorted flow characteristics were applied to fan as inlet conditions. It is common to perform only a single passage due to limitations in calculation resources. In this paper, the fan was applied in the form of a full passage for meaningful application of distortion flow.
