This paper proposes a method for reusing kinetic design data for virtual facilities. Making a virtual model of a facility involves two major activities: geometric design (virtual model visualization) and kinetic design that should be remodeled frequently whenever design changes occur. Conventionally, a virtual model of an automated facility focuses on the design level, which mainly deals with design verification, alternative comparison, and geometric model diagnosis. Although a design level model can be designed with the information of past models from PLM system, a simulation level model is not sufficient utilized to be reused for kinetic design purpose. We propose a method for reusing kinetic information of a past simulation model to cope with this problem. We use the concept of the "center of mass", which is a point representing the mean position of the matter in a body or system. And we also use comparison method of a boundary box to identify which 3D objects have to be involved from the design model to a link structure that is contained in the simulation model. Because a proposed method only use not a historical approach but a geometrical approach, it is more effective to apply to the field.

Product systems are quickly and frequently changed because product Life Cycle is continuously reduced and adopting new product is steadily fast. Thus, various studies are progressed using simulation which is one of digital manufacturing. The research that is concerning simulation of control verification for shorten the commissioning which has a lot of trial and error is in progress. Also, simulation of control verification has strength that it can catch the errors in advance. However, a control program in simulation needs virtual factory for representation of control information. For this reason, excessive time and energy is put into controlling the virtual factory. So, in this paper, we construct library which is using exist data, in order to overcome limitation of these problems. Furthermore, we suggest methodology which can model and verify the process more speedy using library. Especially, we give body to the BB/BR Line process which has many altering equipments and need high technology effectively using physical and logical modeling. We can set up a control simulation environment very rapidly, as well as cut process time down using our suggestion.

Reducing resource and energy are most important in the future as well as now. Extrusion of aluminum alloys used as materials for automotive industry in recent years studied abroad, and also one of many important resources are used. Especially, it is necessary to resolve such problems like that lighter weight of car and stability. Unlike conventional Extrusion, PLC and Extruder are controlled by PC produce a variable cross sectional shape. Processing speed control and 3-axis control through extrusion ratio can be made real time control of variable geometry. Depending of the processing speed can be controlled and set up extrusion of the product in real time to adapt to the changes it can produce a uniform quality.

Modern manufacturing systems consist of highly automated manufacturing devices, and they are controlled by complicated PLC programs. To make sure the achievement of the control objectives of a manufacturing system, it is very important to monitor the dynamic system behaviors of the manufacturing system. In this paper, we propose a monitoring methodology of a PLC program based on the Software In the Loop Simulation(SILS), which makes use of the time gap information between PLC signals. The errors relevant with PLC signals can be found using the proposed methodology, comparing a normal PLC signal trajectory with a target PLC signal trajectory. The proposed methodology has been implemented and tested with simple examples.

The use of aluminum parts in automobile structural applications has increased in an effort to reduce the weight of cars and hence improve fuel economy. But Aluminum bar, I-beam and channels need other processes to vary the cross section in the axial direction. Thus, applications of these parts are limited by high cost. If the cross section of the part is variable by using only extrusion, application of extruded bar, I-beam and channels will increase in the Aluminum industries. In this paper, we propose the variable-shape extrusion process which can control the thickness of Aluminum bar. And we can calculate the speed of center ram by varying the cross section in the extrusion to control the thickness of Aluminum bar.
