이 글에서는 1946년부터 1956년까지 작품 활동을 했던 박인환의 시 자료에 대한 고증 작업을 진행함으로써 지금까지 알려지지 않았거나 혹은 잘못 알려졌던 몇 가지 문제들을 집중적으로 고찰해 보았다. 첫째, 『선시집』의 출판 과정에 대한 오해, 둘째, 「거리」가 최초 발표작으로 알려지게 된 경위, 셋째, 「세월이 가면」 창작 과정에 관한 증언 자료의 검토 등이 그것이다. 이를 통해 필자들이 확인한 사실은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지금까지 알려진 바와는 달리 1955년 10월 15일에 나온 『선시집』은 산호장이 아니라 詩作社에서 간행되었다. 산호장본은 1956년 1월에 발행된 것으로, 양장과 호부장 두 가지 방식으로 제책되었다. 둘째, 박인환의 최초 발표작은 「거리」가 아니라 「단층」이다. 그리고 「거리」는 1946년 12월에 『국제신보』에 발표되었다기보다는 『목마와 숙녀』(근역서재, 1976)에 최초로 발표되었다고 보는 것이 타당하다. 셋째, 「세월이 가면」의 창작을 전후하여 발표된 세 편의 증언 자료를 검토함으로써 필자 미상인 「세월이 가면, 명동 ‘샹송’이 되기까지」 의 신뢰도가 가장 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 결과가 박인환 연구의 기초를 다지고, 문헌학적 연구의 중요성을 환기시킬 수 있기를 바란다. In this article, we are dedicated to the some of the materials that had been remained unknown or had been known wrongly, turning to philological research of Park In-whan’s poems. The first topic dealt with is misconceptions about the publishing process of “Poetry anthology”. Secondly review on groounds of beeing knoown that “Street” is the first work. Finally questioning on testified data of “As the years roll by”. Through above considerations we found that : First, published on 15 October in 1955, “Poetry anthology” was published from ‘시작사’ not ‘산호장’. “Poetry anthology” of ‘산호장’ was published in January of 1956, and this book is bookbinded into two ways of hard-cover bookbinding and side stitch. Second, the first work of Park In-whan is the “Fault” not the ”Street”, and the “Street” was announced at first on the “Wooden horse and lady"(근역서재, 1976) not ‘국제신보’(1946. 12). Third, through reviewing the announced three testified data before and after “As the years roll by”, “As the years roll by, until transformed into chanson of Myeong-dong” is most trustworthy. We except our studies to revitalize the study of Park In-whan’s poems, and bring up the importance of philological research.
