외국인 프로농구 선수의 한국 프로 리그로의 노동 이주 특성과 적응 경험 연구

본 연구는 현재 각처에서 일어나고 있는 통합과 압축의 과정으로서 세계화 현상에 주목하고, 전지구적 자본주의 과정에서 구조가 재편되고 있는 노동 환경 속에서 한국 프로 스포츠 리그로 온 외국인 선수들의 노동이주와 적응 경험을 연구하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이러한 목적으로 설문조사법을 통해 선수들의 일반 자료와 이주 특성을 조사하였고, 참여 관찰과 심층면접을 통해 이주 경험 자료를 수집하였다. 이를 분석한 결과의 내용을 요약하면 다음과 같다.외국인 선수의 글로벌 로컬 지점으로서 한국 프로 스포츠 리그로의 노동 이주 유입 배경은 전지구적 자본주의, 국제정치 환경의 변화, 각 리그의 선수 이동 규제정책, 사회적 연결망의 국외적 조건과 선수 수급의 불안정성과 한계, 리그별 외국인 선수의 규정 변화 한국 내적 조건에 기인한다. 최초에는 세계 리그의 재편, 개방화의 물결 속 리그의 활성화 도모의 경제적, 사회학적 구조적인 배경이 그 동력이었으나, 점차로 선수의 이주와 선발에 있어서 기존의 선수들과 관계가 있는 사회적 연결망이 있는 선수들이 이주해 오고 이들은 연결망을 통해서 적응과정에서도 지원받고 있는 것으로 나타났다.연구대상자들의 한국 리그까지의 이주경로는 세계에 확산되어 있는 프로 농구 종목의 특성을 그대로 반영하고 있었다. 선수는 대체로 미국 국적을 가지고 있었고, 종목의 특성에 따라 농구 리그가 활성화되어 있는 유럽리그, 미국을 거쳐서 한국으로 이주한 것으로 나타났다. 외국인 선수의 54.5%가 한국 이주 전 이주 준비를 한 것으로 나타났다. 이주 결정을 감독과 코치, agent나 매니저, 가족, 리그 관계자 순으로 상의한 것으로 나타났다. 이주 준비를 위해 한국 리그에 경험이 있는 동료, 또는 선배와 상의했다는 대상자가 가장 많았다. 한국 프로 리그로 이적하게 된 동기는 한국 리그의 경험 있는 동료, 선후배의 충고와 임금이라는 사례가 가장 많았다.이들의 한국 리그와 생활 적응 경험은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 한국 리그에서의 코리안 드림을 이루기 위해 이주한 선수들은 새 땅에서 유목민의 정체성을 가지고 있었다. 둘째, 선수 개인이 세계적인 리그의 커리어를 가지고 있더라도 한국 리그의 성공적인 적응을 위해서는 ‘한국형’ 용병으로 거듭나야만 했다. 셋째, 외국인 선수들에게 조직 적응 이외에 생활 문화면에서 적응 위해 가족 또는 커뮤니티의 존재와 지지는 적응과 정착에 중요한 요인인 것으로 나타났다.

스포츠 사회학 : 근육의 경계에 선 여성 보디빌더의 저항성 연구

With combined phenomenological and Foucaudian analysis, this study assesses the elite w bodybuilders represent resistance to dominant discourse of beauty of feminine body. Participants were five national-competition-level elite female bodybuilders. Data collection included mainly in-depth interviews and participation observation. This study explores the development of such a feminist perspective using elite bodybuilders as the experiential base.I argue that the mind and body must be conceived of as a unity in understanding the social construction of gender, as well as in developing and embodying feminist perspective. The results were that the female elites bodybuilders had somewhat revealed reverse resistance, what is compliance, to the dominant female beauty discourse, they also had shown the resistance and possibilities of change to the discourse. Feministic embodiment perspective would be considered the potent resource of the self-care ethic in bodybuilding practices, Therefore it were concluded that an empowering physical practice, one like bodybuilding that challenges the discourse of beauty in feminine body, could be a critical component in the emergence of a self-care-ethic for women of this contemporary.

인문,사회과학편 : 선수들의 국제적 이동과 Global-Local 지점으로서 한국 프로스포츠의 변화

전지구적 자본주의 과정으로서 세계화(globalization)는 글로벌 스포츠 리그의 세계적 통합, 확장 속에서 로컬 지역의 재능 있는 엘리트 스타들을 유인하고 있다. 이 연구는 세계화와 함께 지역화 과정을 지니고 있는 한국 프로 스포츠의 변화를 인적 교류와 이동의 측면에서 살펴보고, 구조 변화와 반응을 차례로 고찰하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전지구적 자본의 팽창으로서 스포츠 세계화와 각국의 대응, 리그 간 역학관계를 살펴보고, 세계화가 진행되고 있는 로컬 지역 한국의 클로칼리제이션 과정을 살펴보기 위해 한국의 프로 스포츠 프로야구, 프로 농구, 프로 축구의 리그 탄생이후 국내외 선수 이주 변천과 현황, 리그의 반응을 살펴보았다. 한국 스포츠는 전지구적 자본주의, 국제정치 환경의 변화, 세계 리그의 팽창 속 국제 스포츠 노동이주로 선수들을 해외에 수출하는 반면, 프로 야구, 프로 축구, 프로 농구리그는 각각 해외 유수 리그의 경험 있는 선수들을 유입하여 리그의 활성화를 꾀하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 변화 속에서 한국 프로 스포츠 리그는 각각 규정의 변화, 특정 포지션 기피, 외국인 선수, half Korean의 귀화, 해외 교포 선수의 영입 등의 반응과 변화를 겪는 것으로 나타났다. This study focuses on glocalization of Korean Professional Sport League in terms of athlete migration in and outbound from their birth. For this purpose it is addressed that globalizaiton of professional sports as expansion of global capital, dynamics of global leagues and nations' response. To examine the glocalization process of Korean Professional Sports League, it included the structural change, background, and history of athlete migration in and outside the nation, and the response of Korean Baseball, Basketball, and Football League. The Leagues have emitted the talented athletes in circumstances of global capitalism of sports, change of international politics, and enlargement of global major leagues. The Korean Professional Leagues also have introduced foreign athletes to boom up the leagues. With this flow the Korean Professional League respectively has been witnessing not only enhancement of techniques and spectacles of the games but also the change of regulation, confusion of position in the team, and naturalization of foreign athletes, hal-Koreans, and overseas Koreans.

In the postmodern society a body is no longer a passive corporal being but it has emerged as a personal `project` carefully cared and considered, By the tendency perceiving it a mean to reveal what one is, one`s identity. In accordance with this social trend, found rather pervasively in the more capitalized society and in younger generation, the body studies have just come in the social science field. This study was to examine what the body study be placed in the sports-feminism in a sense that it might be an effective component or tool for the woman identifying oneself. There are a couple of perspectives in studying the body. First, the biological view, having long traditional background, yet dominated much part by the social belief, mostly proved prejudices, has taken the body based on the biological analysis which has been brought about dozens of prejudices of both genders. Second, the sociological view rejects the perspective to explain and define an individual only by the biological, genetical determinants. They take much of the social circumstances and structures affecting the woman premising they are treated differently, sometimes discriminatively. They regard the body as the yield turned out by social values and environments. Third, the feministic perspective has analyzed the body as a conflicting field accepting of following a figure socially formed to be shaped. Studying the woman body is known to provide affluent suggestions for the woman and furthermore the man in sporting or/and in attitude of playing in sport, what critically affects in their participation. The body(studies) seems to locate the right spot where the two components of dualism `body` and `mind` meets. Investigating the `lived/embodied` body, especially, in sociological perspectives, would have the very probability to insight a way to bridge and reconstruct the previous frame and explanations. The woman`s lived/embodied body studying would help illuminating the social and traditional constraints worked as a block in taking part in sporting activities. It would also offer an opportunity to broaden the field of man study by mean of the stimulus of the other gender study.
