This paper is described the experimental results of beach process including storm surge and beach recovery. By testing different surge levels and durations, effects of these to the shoreline change were evaluated. In addition, the condition of beach recovery were investigated experimentally. On the other hand, we proposed the method, which can be applicable to complex hydrograph such as real storm surge by modifying equation proposed by Kriebel and Dean. Moreover applicability of this method is verified by comparing computing result with experiments.

만의 일부만이 개방되어 있고 어선이나 군함 등의 선박통항이 빈번한 당항만을 대상 해역으로 하여 폐쇄성 연안해역의 해수유동에 관해 고찰하였다. Recently, the water pollution of coastal sea area including harbor, bay and inland sea has been very serious and it causes various environmental impacts. In this study, water flow system of Donghang Bay, which has the narrow and long topographical characteristics with the narrow bay mouth and its flow is influenced principally by the tidal current, is investigated experimentally and numerically. In order to understand the tidal system of Danghang Bay, harmonic analysis is performed based on measured tidal range and flow velocity. In addition, numerical model for tidal exchange is developed considering conditions of Danghang Bay. Calculated results show good agreement with measurement. Lastly, based on the proposed numerical model, exchange ratio of seawater volume in Danghang Bay is predicted.

항주파에 의해 해안침식, 호안 결괴, 하역곤란 및 어선 등을 포함한 소형선박의 동요가 발생하며, 심지어 최근에는 수상오토바이, 모터보트 및 여객선의 고속주행은 해수욕장의 수영객 및 낚시꾼 등 어로작업중인 어민에게 위협이 되고 있다. 특히, 천해역에서 발생한 항주파는 심해역에서 발생한 항주파보다 연안시설 또는 작업인원의 안전에 더 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있으며, 파고는 천해역에서 발생하여 극천해역으로 진행하는 경우, 천해역 파고의 1.8배정도로 커진다. 또한 극천해역에 약간의 흐름이 존재하여도 파는 진행하지 못한다. Damages such as beach erosion, seawall destruction and difficulty of cargo working due to rolling of ship result from shipwave. In addition, high speed operations of motor boat and passenger ship respectively jeopardize sea bathers and anglers' safety. In general, shipwaves in shallow water have worse effect on coastal facilities and working people there than those in deepwater. This study aims to investigate the characteristics of shipwaves which occurred and propagated in shallowwater experimentally and theoretically.

항주파는 해안침식, 호안 결괴, 하역곤란 및 어선 등 소형선박의 동요를 발생시키며, 최근에는 고속으로 항행하는 수상오토바이, 모터보트 및 여객선 등이 수영객, 낚시꾼 및 어로작업중인 어민에게 위협이 되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험 및 이론적으로 항주파고의 전파특성을 검토하였으며 상대수심이 얕은 수역에서 발생한 항주파가 천해역으로 전파하는 경우 파고증가율이 커지며, 수심이 얕을수록 유속이 느린 흐름이 존재하여도 파가 진행하지 못함을 알 수 있다.
