본 연구에서는 발달장애 유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 성격특성이 유아의 외현적·내재적 문제에 관한 시설부적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위한 연구문제검증에 있어서, 먼저 어머니의 일반적 배경차이에 따른 발달장애유아의 시설 부적응 차이를 알아보고 어머니의 성격특성이 발달장애유아의 시설부적응에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 부산광역시에 소재한 장애아전문 어린이집 재원 생활연령 4~5세의 발달장애 유아 148명과 그 어머니로서, 예비조사와 본 조사를 거쳐 수집된 자료는 통계프로그램 SPSS 21.0을 이용하여 빈도분석, 신뢰성 검증, t-test와 분산분석, 상관관계분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아교육현장에서 장애유아의 부적응이나 문제행동에 대한 원인을 보다 명확하게 탐색하여, 효과적인 교육·중재방안을 마련하는데 유용할 것으로 판단되며, 본 연구는 유아기 발달장애자녀를 둔 어머니 스스로 본인의 양육행동을 이해하는데 중요한 지침을 제공하고, 장애유아의 조기중재 실효성 제고를 위한 부모교육 및 지원서비스의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study aims to analyse the effects the personality of mothers who have young children with developmental disability has on facility maladjustment relating to overt and covert problems. For this purpose, this study identified differences between facility maladjustment of young children with developmental disabilities according to the general background of mothers and analysed the effect a mother`s personality has on facility maladjustment in young children. The subjects of the study were 148 young children with developmental disability who were between four and five years old attending a nursing home for the disabled located in Busan and their mothers. The data collected through preliminary and main research was statistically analysed with the use of SPSS 21.0, and a frequency test, a confidence test, a t-test, a dispersion test, a correlation test and a multi-regression test were conducted. As this study investigated the causes of maladjustment or problematic behavior of young children with disabilities at nursing homes, it is expected that the results would be useful for the preparation of effective education and intervention measures. As this study provided important directions for parents to understand their children with developmental disabilities, it is believed that the results would be used as basic data for parent education on the efficacy of early intervention and support services.
