The previous geoid model of Korea developed in mid 2000s was 10cm level of precision due to the gravity data which shows bias of distribution and low quality. From 2011, NGII(National Geographic Information Institute) started the study of the national geoid model including the whole country and constructed national geoid model in 2012. However, the precision was relatively low at the mountainous area because most of the gravity data exist at the plane area. In this study, new national geoid model KNGeoid13 has been calculated based on the available gravity data with new data on the triangulation points. The degree of fit and precision of KNGeoid13 are 3.08cm and 3.41cm respectively. And the relative precision in 15km baseline is 2.58cm. In the future, precise national geoid model should be developed including unified ship-borne gravity data and new land gravity data at the triangulation point. Also, obtaining accurate GNSS-derived orthometric height will be possible through constructing precise national geoid model,

The precise global gravitational model is essential to construct precision geoid model. After developing EGM2008, new global gravitational model such as GOCO02S, GOCO03S, EIGEN-6C and EIGEN-6C2 based on GOCE observation data were published. Therefore, the precision verification of various models are necessary. In this study, we compared global gravitational models to NGII GPS/Leveling data to assess the precision of models. Since both GOCO02S and GOCO03S have been developed based on only satellite data, the precision have been remained about 27cm. On the other hand, EIGEN-6C, EIGEN-6C2 and EGM2008 showed 6∼7cm level of precision because those models contain not only satellite but gravity and altimetry data. The latest model, EIGEN-6C2, has been developed using part of GOCE data, the new global gravitational model will be published continuously. Therefore, the precision verification of new global gravitational model should be concerned.
