Quickness and precision are the two most important requirements for an industrial scale used in production lines. In this paper, a new approach, " Dynamic Mass-estimation Algorithm of Displacement and Velocity(DMA-DV) sensing type, is presented to improve some of drawbacks in conventional scales, The system, consisted of acceleration and displacement sensors, spring scale and microcomputer, is based on full utilization of dynamic mass measurement of acceleration and displacement via microcomputer-assisted real time monitoring. The resulting system, when combined with appropriate dynamic mass estimation algorithm software, has shown its effectiveness in terms of two desireable characteristics required.
백서의 두 종류 관절염 모델에서 통증에 대한 전침의 진통 효과

Although the use of acupuncture for pain has increased in recent years, the mechanisms of acupuncture analgesia (AA) remains obscure. The lack of suitable experimental animal models for persistent pain, which show clear AA, has been the major stumbling block in the investigation of the physiological mechanisms of AA. In the present study, we test AA in two knee arthritis model induced by injection of CFA or carrageenan as a chronic pain model. After induction of arthritis, the rat subsequently showed a reduced stepping force of the affected limb for the next several days. Electroacupuncture (EA) was applied to an acupuncture point each on the contralateral forelimb for 30 minutes under enflurane anesthesia. After the termination of EA, behavioral tests measuring stepping force were periodically conducted during the next several hours. EA produced a significant improvement of stepping force of the foot lasting for at least 2 hours when applied to LR2 In CFA model, and applied to ST36 in carrageenan model, but both points did not produce any significant effects in each other model. These data suggest that EA produce analgesic effect in knee arthritic pain and the analgesic effect is specific to the acupuncture point.
Micro Machining of High-Hardness Materials Using Magnetic Abrasive Grains

If processing speed is increased and processing time is lengthened, a magnetic abrasive system can be used as a tool both for finishing and precise dimensional control of manufactured products at the micro-level, and for mirror face processing. Tn this study, a micro machining system that can change its high rotational speed was developed. Using micro machining with a high speed magnetic abrasive system, the diameter of difficult-to-cut materials with high hardness could be controlled almost linearly by changing the rotational speed, the frequency of magnetic poles, and the size of diamond particles. By changing machining conditions, the surface roughness of the mirror face level could be obtained. To improve roundness, a higher rotational speed improved processing time and dimensional precision, and 20,000 rpm was the optimum speed in this experiment. Roundness was obtained up to 0.15um Before and after the processing, there was almost no change in the WC(tungsten carbide) and Ni components of the material, and there were no remains of mixed-type particles such as iron and diamond on the material.

This study investigates the mechanical properties of composites with the fiber surface treatment ofpolydopamine (PDA). The test material was composite laminated with carbon fiber, aramid fiber, and glass fiber. Themechanical properties were evaluated by tensile testing. The tensile strength of the aramid and glass composites generallydid not increase effectively with surface treatment. In carbon composites, both strength and toughness properties wereimproved by surface modification. In aramid composites, the toughness showed the best effect with surface treatment, butglass composites had no effect. When the deposited PDA was properly and evenly distributed, the composites showedexcellent tensile properties.
CBN 공구의 형상이 고경도강의 절삭특성에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this investigation is experimentally to clarify the machinability and optimum tool geometry on milling of hardened STD11 steel. In the finish process of face milling of high hardened STD11 steel by CBN tool, the optimum tool shape is suggested, which can minimize the tool fracture and chipping by impact. It is measured that cutting force, tool wear and surface roughness generated during single-insert face milling using various geometric CBN tools. It has been found that the optimal chamfer angle of CBN too is about-25°and the suitable chamfer width is 0.2mm. The nose radius of tool is the most excellent at 1.2㎜ in the viewpoint of tool wear and surface roughness.

As a technology to machine the 3-dimensional shapes of general metal material more flexibly, machining technologies such as metal cutting, grinding, etc have been steadily improved in their accuracy as well. However, the working method using machining technologies are restricted in terms of surface roughness, metal working accuracy and working hours, if a workpiece has an irregular 3-dimensional shape. Magnetic abrasive finishing process is also one of the super-precision machining technologies which proceed with the finishing metal working of precision working piece using the action of magnetic field and the mixed type magnetic abrasive. However, such studies only focus on the improvement of machining accuracy but are still incomplete in investigating the roundness. This study aims to realize the high accuracy finishing machining focusing on the roundness after magnetic abrasive finishing process of circular workpiece and the surface roughness of precision machining surface.

Metal cutting leaves a plastically deformed layer in the machined surface. This deformed layer affects in various forms to the physical properties of machined components such as the dimensional instability, the micro crack. These physical properties is called surface integrity which is very important in precision cutting. In this study, we introduce plastic strain, surface roughness, cutting force to evaluate surface integrity of machined surface, and examine mutual relation of these parameters.

In this paper, the possibility of high precision machining was confirmed by using magnetic abrasive finishing process with rotating fine ceramic bar in high speed. Also, in order to improve the surface roughness, it was used the vibration of the magnetic pole and the mixed grain which is mixed with diamond paste for ultra precision processing and electrolytic iron powder. As a result, we knew that there is closely connected with diamond grain size, change of quantity and vibration of the magnetic pole to surface roughness of ceramic bar.

During alternative cutting, tool failure is suddenly occurred, so the continuous detection of tool condition is very necessary. this research was studied about tool wear and tool fracture by AE and cutting force signal during milling. It will be proved that the possibility of in-p개cess sensing technique by AE and cutting force signal in detection of tool condition. As a result, we intended to set the standard which can detect the tool wear and the tool fracture in optional p개cessing.
