본 연구는 2020년 11월 4일부터 11월 10일까지 서울특별시 성동구 금호동 중랑천의 용비교(37˚32’40”N 127˚01’53”E)부터 성동대교(37˚33’08”N 127˚02’38”E)까지 수조류의 이용 현황을 살펴보고 개체군을 파악하고자 진행되었다. 조사 방법으로는 쌍안경(Kowa×8, Nikon×8)과 카메라(Nikon Coolpix p500)를 사용하였으며, 조사 구역을 나눠 개체 수는 중복되지 않게 하였다. 조사기간 동안 10시부터 12시까지 3차례에 걸쳐 총 17종 1492마리의 개체수를 조사하였으며, 수조류들의 행동 유형을 알아보았다. 연구 기간 동안 가장 많이 관찰된 수조류는 민물가마우지 Phalacrocorax carbo (26.87%)와 청둥오리 Anas platyrhynchos (23.66%)가 대표적이었다. 조사가 진행된 시간 내 수조류들은 주로 휴식(resting)과 헤엄치는(swimming) 행동 유형을 보였다. 이 연구를 통해 월동 수조류의 월동지로서 중랑천의 중요성을 유추할 수 있었고, 따라서 중랑천의 관리가 더더욱 필요할 것으로 판단된다. This study was conducted to identify the current status of using of waterbirds from Yongbigyo(37˚32’40”N 127˚01’53”E) to Seongdonggyo(37˚33’08”N 127˚02’38”E) in Jungrangcheon, Seongdong-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seou. It was conducted from November 4 to November 10, 2020. We divided our study area to prevent double counting of the populations of waterbirds, and we used binoculars(Kowa×8, Nikon×8) and camera(Nikon Coolpix p500). During the study period, we conducted the study total 3 times, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. We monitored the number of waterbirds and we also observed their behavior patterns. As a result to this, there were 17 species and 1492 individuals in Jungrangchun. The most observed species were Phalacrocorax carbo (26.87%) and Anas platyrhynchos (23.66%). During the time of the investigation, the type of behavior that waterbirds mainly showed was resting and swimming. Through this study, we were able to infer the importance of Jungrangchun as wintering place for wintering waterbirds. Therefore, we belived that the care for Jungrangchun will be more necessary.
