대학생의 거부민감성과 대인관계 유능성의 관계: 다차원적 경험회피의 매개효과를 중심으로

본 연구는 거부민감성과 대인관계 유능성의 관계에서 다차원적 경험회피가 매개역할을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울, 경기, 충청권에 소재한 5개의 대학에 재학 중인 성인남녀 228명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 거부민감성과 대인관계 유능성은 부적인 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 거부민감성은 다차원적 경험회피와 정적인 상관을 보였고 다차원적 경험회피의 하위요인과는 부인, 억압, 지연행동, 고통혐오, 회피행동, 고통감내 순으로 높은 상관을 보였으며 주의분산/억제는 상관이 없었다. 셋째, 다차원적 경험회피는 대인관계 유능성과 부적인 상관을 보였고 다차원적 경험회피의 하위요인과는 부인, 억압, 회피행동, 지연행동, 고통혐오, 주의분산/억제, 고통감내 순으로 높은 상관을 보였다. 넷째, 거부민감성과 대인관계 유능성의 관계에서 다차원적 경험회피가 부분적인 매개효과를 보이는것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점 및 후속연구에 대한 제안을 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of multidimensional experiential avoidance in the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal competence among university students. A total of 228 adult males and females attending universities located in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Chungcheong completed questionnaires. The results of the study were as follows. First, rejection sensitivity showed a significant negative relationship with interpersonal competence. Second, rejection sensitivity showed a significant positive relationship with the multidimensional experiential avoidance. Third, multidimensional experiential avoidance showed a significant negative relationship with interpersonal competence. Fourth, multidimensional experiential avoidance partially mediated the relationship between rejection sensitivity and interpersonal competence. Study implications, limitations and suggestions for follow-up research were also suggested based on the results.
