관계망 개입(Network Intervention) 기반 청소년 음주 · 흡연 예방 프로그램에 대한 평가

관계망 개입이란 행동 변화를 촉진하기 위하여 사회관계망 데이터를 사용하는 과정으로 또래사회관계망과 또래 리더의 힘과 영향을 적절히 활용하여 프로그램을 실행함으로써 프로그램의 효과성을 높이는 개입방식이다. 본 연구의 목적은 관계망 개입기반 청소년 음주 · 흡연 예방 프로그램을 평가하는 것이다. 경기도 소재 중학교 2학년 5개 학급 114명의 학생이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 실험집단 2개 학급에는 효과성이 검증된 보편적 물질남용 예방 프로그램인 Unplugged 프로그램을 관계망 개입을 적용하여 제공하였고 통제집단 3개 학급에는 동일프로그램을 기존 방식대로 제공하였다. 관계망 개입을 위해 실험집단 2개 학급 각각을 대상으로 사회관계망 분석을 하여 또래리더를 선발하고 모둠을 구성하였다. 프로그램 실행 전 또래 리더들을 대상으로 별도의 교육을 하여 리더로서 역량을 충분히 발휘할 수 있도록 하였다. 관계망 개입의 효과를 평가하기 위해 프로그램 실행 전과 후에 사전, 사후조사를 그리고 약 1년 후에 추후조사를 하였다. 유의미한 평가 결과가 많이 나타나지는 않았으나 흡연에 대한 태도 변화에서 시간과 집단의 상호작용 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구는 관계망 개입을 적용한 최초의 국내 연구로 관계망 개입의 확장을 위한 제언을 제공하였다. Network interventions, defined as the process of accelerating behavior changes by using social network data, improve the program effectiveness by implementing it using the powers and influences of peer social networks and peer leaders. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a network intervention-based adolescent alcohol drinking and smoking prevention program. A total of 114 students in a middle school located in Gyeonggi-do participated in this study. A network intervention-based prevention program was provided to the experimental groups (2 classes) and the same program but implemented in a traditional way provided to the control groups(3 classes). Social network analysis was conducted with the data of the experimental data in order to create sub-groups and select peer leaders. Before implementing the program, peer leaders were trained in order for them to be familiar with the program and to learn leaders’ roles. To evaluate the effectiveness of the network intervention-based program, several outcome variables were measured at three points, baseline, post-initial, and one-year follow-up. Although many significant findings were obtained, there was a significant time and group interaction effect in terms of the attitude toward smoking. The changes of the attitude toward smoking by time were significant in the experimental groups only. This study is the first one of this kind and provides some suggestions to expand the network intervention-based prevention programs for adolescents.
