      • Testosterone 投與가 雌性白鼠의 二·三臟器成分에 미치는 影響

        To observe the metabolic changes in the rat organs after the testosterone administration in different dietary conditions, female albino rats of a pure strain weighing 191g to 271g were used for experimental animals. The animals were divided into three diet groups, namely the standard, the high carbohydrate and the high protein, and these groups were again divided into six groups the testosterone non-administered group and the five administered ones(15㎎, per rat) in which the two-day, five-day, ten-day, twenty-day and thirty-day testosterone administration. In the liver and uterus, the contents of glycogen, lipid, cholesterol and protein(liver only) were measured, and contents of lipid, cholesterol in serum, and muscle glycogen were also determined. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Glycogen contents of the liver increased much more after the administration of testosterone than before the administration, whereas the glycogen contents of the uterus generally decreased after the administration. The glycogen contents in the muscles gradually increased after the administration. 2. The protein contents in the liver gradually decreased in each diet group after testosterone was given. 3. Total lipid contents in the liver gradually decreased in the standard and high carbohydrate diet groups after the administration of testosterone, however, that of the high protein diet group rather increased. 4. The uterus total lipid contents in each diet group significantly changed at early stage after testosterone was given. 5. The cholesterol contents in the liver increased in the standard and high protein diet groups after testosterone was given. On the contrary, in the high carbohydrate diet group, the contents gradually decreased whereas of the uterus, they generally increased in the standard and high carbohydrate diet groups. 6. As far as total lipid contents of the serum concerned, no significant change was seen in each diet group by the administration of testosterone, whereas the total cholesterol contents in the blood gradually increased in the high carbohydrate and high protein diet group. 7. In view of these results, the contents of glycogen, protein, lipid and cholesterol in each organ were much varied by the feeding of different quality of diets, those are high carbohydrate diet, high protein diet and standard diet. By the administration of a single dose of 15 ㎎ of the testosterone preparation, glycogen contents in liver and muscle were increased, the cholesterol metabolism was vigorously progressed, and the protein metabolism was also much influenced.
