Twenty short concrete columns reinforced with longitudinal steel and circular spirals were tested for ductility under bi-axial bending moment and axial force. Effects of different variables, such as the amount and spiral steel spacing, spiral steel strength, and concrete strength, on the behaviour of columns were investigated. the relation between bending moment on short concrete columns and curvature ductility enhancement, and the variation of spiral steel stress were also investigated. An increase in the volumetric ratio of spiral steel was found to significantly improve both the strength and the ductility of confined concrete, with the effect on ductility being more pronounced. The maximum effect of spiral steel spacing was observed for the amount of spiral steel, which was approximately equal to that required by the ACI Code. The lateral steel strength appeared to have a significant effect on the behaviour of similarly confined columns of differing strength.

Power systems becomes more highvoltage and high capacity recently. Power system caused by the accident of insulation breakdown. Excellent power cable is used due to advances in technology, but old cable and damage cable causes a power failure. This paper analyzed partial discharge using pattern analysis method of power cable. The simulation of partial discharge of power cable with defects was analyzed using pattern recognition methods.

The photovoltaic power generation is one of the most suitable energy sources in the worldwide as a new and renewable energies for the fossil fuels shortage and global warming. The PV system needs a large area, appropriate module arrangement and sufficient solar radiation to get maximum power generation. In this paper, the optimum installation area size for an inclined fixation photovoltaic system was presented by calculating and simulating the optimum angle of solar radiation and arrangement of PV modules in the economic aspects pursuing the user's maximum profits.

The current streetlight system have been tried various attempts. but during maintenance, it has caused the traffic congestion and many risk factors. In addition, maintenance costs are very expensive to manage and the local government have to establish countermeasures about the present condition. If neglected, it may cause a variety of social problems. so, there should be a measure to prevent problems. This rotational and up-and-down type streetlight can be a solution to these factors and it has been highlighted indirectly in terms of green growth because we have to take advantage of the value.

Development and use of renewable energy due to environmental problems and depletion of energy affect grid-connected power system around the world. Therefore this paper analyzes the characteristic of gird connected photovoltaic power generation system which it is available to connect the utility. Renewable energy photovoltaic power system has been linked to the system to analyze the impact of photovoltaic system. MATLAB / Simulink program is modeled and analyzed on power quality of a photovoltaic power plant. It is measured that power data for the Grid connected photovoltaic power plant with instantaneous measuring, 3sec measuring, 10min measuring for 7 days. Harmonic field measurement have shown that the harmonic contents of a waveform varies with time. A cumulative probability approach is the most commonly used method to solve time varying harmonics. so, it is used 50[%] cumulative probability approach. This paper provides an in depth analysis on power quality field measurement of the Grid connected photovoltaic power plant.

Harmonics of the power quality in systems is growing more and more as a modern industrial society process. Among these harmonics, the problem of dangerous situations is generated especially in the whole system when exists high levels of harmonic. In this paper, we analyzed about type of cause for harmonic on the quality measurements and performed simulation for resolving the problem on ther basic types of filters installation before and after.

The modelling of complex dynamic system is one of the most important subjects in engineering. A model is often too complicated to be used in real problems so approximation procedures are often used to achieve simpler models than the original one. The concepts of impulse energy approximation is introduced. The reduced model in obtained from the most significant pairs of alpha and beta parameters. There exists errors because from the most significant pairs of alpha and beta parameters. There exists errors because of the truncation. To overcome this problem an improved impulse energy technique is presented in the paper by appropriately selection alpha and beta parameters. There exists error because of the truncation. This algorithm is programed using MATLAB language. A reduced-order model for the excitation system of power plants as an example study is considered This technique seems to be easy to perform and shows a good simulation results.
