This study was to establish the floristic composition in Pocheon stream(a total of 8 sites) of Pocheon-gun. Vascular plants were composed of 53 families, 129 genera, 150 species, 20 varieties, and 3 formae, totaling 173 taxa(inc1uded 21taxa of aquatic plants), Persicaria lapathifolia and Humulus japonica were the predominant species. A new forma-species, Quamoclit angulata for. alba (Convolvulaceae), is described from karae-ri, Pocheon-gun, Kyongkido, Korea. A naturalized plants were 25 species, correspond to 11.5% of totaling 218 species appeared in South Korea. The Life-form were Geophyte(6.9%), Magaphanerophytes(7.5%), Nanophanerophytes(5.8%), Microphanerophytes (4.1%), Chamaephytes (5.2%), Hemicryptophytes(l4.5%), Hydatophytes (12.1%). Therophytes (43.9%) respectively. Also the original aquatic plants were Sium suave, Potamogeton oxyphyllus, Najas minor, Lemna paucicostata and Spirodela polyrhiza.

A phytosociological study on the Mongolian oak forest was carried out on Mt, Sorak by the Z-M method. The Mongolian oak forest was classified into one oder, two alliances, one association and three communities : Rhododendro-Quercetalia mongolicae Kim 1990 Lindero-Quercion mongolicae Kim 1990 Vaccinium hirtum v. koreanum-Quercus mongolica Community Lespedeza maximowiczii-Quercus mongolica Community Pino koraiensis-Quercion mongolicae Kim 1992 Typical community Lichno-Quercetum mongolicae Kim 1992 Total vascular plant species in investigatied sites consisted of 193 taxa, and their life-farm composition Was H-D_(1)-R_(5)-e type.

This study was to establish the floristic composition of resources vascular plants of the southern slope area at Mt. Wangbang(736.3 m; 127˚ 08' 11" -127˚ 12' 19" E, 3 7˚ 51' 29" ~37˚ 55' 32" N). This work was investigated during the period of 1996 & 2002. Resources vascular plants were composed of 100 families, 301 genera, 409 species, 47 varieties and 9 formae, Totaling 465 taxa. Among the investigated resources plants, 7 taxa(l.2%) were Korean endemic species. The special plants based on floral region by Ministry of Environment(1999) were 27 taxa; Ⅳ rank species 2 taxa, Ⅲ rank species 4 taxa, Ⅱ rank species 4 taxa, Ⅰrank species 17 taxa. A naturalized plants were 44 species, correspond to 20.2% of totaling 218 species appeared in South Korea. Life form spectra was H-D₄-R_(5)-e type and, useful resources plants are as follows; edible source(45.2%), pasture source (41.9%), medicinal source(34.0%) and ornamental source(l6.1%) in the investigated region.
北漢江 源流水城의 生態學的 硏究 1.鎭東里 溪谷 一帶의 植生

The flora of vascular plants and the forest structure in Mt. Chombong were studied from 1987 to 1990. 106 families, 413 genera, 801 species, 36 varieties, 17 formaties of vascular plants were classified. Of these, 35 taxa including Megaleranthis saniculifolia and Hanabusaya asiatica are endemics. Phytosociological studies indicated that the vegetation were divided into Quercus mongolica association two subassociation, Abies holophylla and Acer mono. Along the altitude gradient, the importance value of Q. mongolica was the highest at all the stand except for Betula davurica and Acer mono at 800m. Frequency distribution of DBH showed convex form in Q. mongolica but L form in Acer pseudo-sisboldianum. This means there are no natural regeneration fo Q. mongolica, recently.

In order to use as a new funtional food material, we analyzed the chemical components including the organic compounds, minerals and Vitamic C of jujube honey which were produced in South Korea. The condensed rate of methanol extraction in honey was 87.02% and main organic compounds that extract by organic solvents in GC-MS analysis were trichloromethane, triptane, 2-formylbutane, acetoxyethane, butyraldehyde, butanoic acid, cyclopentane, propanoic acid and so on. Also, main aromatic compounds that extract by organic solvents in SPME analysis were octacosane, pyrobenzol, hexatriacontane, cyclopentasiloxane, pelargonaldehyde, 3-azabenzonitrile, 4-pyridinecarbonitrile, nicotinonitrile, cyclohexatriene and many more. As proximate composition, crude ash content was higher than acacia honey(0.05%) by 0.698%, and crude protein was higher than acacia honey(0.10%) by 0.27%, but crude fat was lower content than acacia honey(0.44%) by 0.26%. Free sugar that analyze by HPLC consisted of fructose 37.47%, glucose 25.22%, and total sugars was 62.69%. Minerals by ICP analysis were detected total 19 kinds, K 12.575ppm > Na 1.8155ppm > Zn 1.3325ppm > Ca 0.6335ppm etc. Vitamin C was not detected and antioxidation test result by DPPH freeradical scavenge effect was hardly but high somewhat compared to acacia honey.
