Background: Many patients with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) have been known to be at risk of suicide, due to severe pain and its comorbid conditions. The risk of suicide may be associated with affective instability, which is an indicator of emotional dysregulation. Particularly, unstable shifts in negative emotions are difficult to cope with, which may result in individuals feeling uncontrollable, hopeless, and entrapped. This study aimed to examine the role of affective instability in the relationship between pain intensity and suicide risk (suicidal ideation and impulsivity) in patients with CRPS, by employing a daily diary. Methods: Twenty-three patients registered at the CRPS Association in Korea were asked to complete a day-to-day routine for 15 days, followed by a diary composed of pain intensity, suicidal ideation, impulsivity, and positive and negative affects. Results: Results showed that the interactions between negative affective instability and daily pain intensity were statistically significant on daily suicidal ideation (coefficient = 0.41, t (21) = 2.56, P < 0.050) and daily impulsiveness (coefficient = 1.20, t (19) = 3.35, P < 0.010). However, those between positive affective instability and daily pain intensity were not. Conclusions: This study is the first attempt to investigate the role of affective instability on the relationship between daily pain intensity and daily suicide risk in patients with CRPS. Our findings suggest that health professionals pay considerable attention to the instability of negative affects when assessing and managing patients with CRPS at risk of suicide.

Raman spectroscopy provides many advantages compared to other common analytical techniques due to its ability of rapid and accurate identification of unknown specimens as well as simple sample preparation. Here, we described potential of Raman spectroscopic technique as an efficient and high throughput method to detect plants infected by economically important viruses. To enhance the detection sensitivity of Raman measurement, surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was employed. Spectra of extracts from healthy and Turnip yellow mosaic virus (TYMV) infected Chinese cabbage leaves were collected by mixing with gold (Au) nanoparticles. Our result showed that TYMV infected plants could be discriminated from non-infected healthy plants, suggesting the current method described here would be an alternative potential tool to screen virus-infection of plants in fields although it needs more studies to generalize the technique.

본 연구에서는 향후 개발될 바이오 항공유의 특성을 비교 분석하기 위한 기초 자료를 확보하기 위해, 여러 가지 항공유의 점화지연시간을 측정하여 결과를 비교하였다. 석유계 항공유의 경우에는 590℃, 55bar 조건에서 exo-THDCP의 점화지연시간이 4.92ms로 측정되어 Jet A-1의 측정값인 1.44ms보다 3.42배 긴 것을 확인하였다. 또한 외국 바이오 항공유의 경우에는 Sasol사의 11POSF7629가 1.18ms로 점화지연시간이 가장 길게 측정되었고, UOP사의 10POSF6308은 1.06ms, 12POSF7720는 1.07ms, 그리고 Sasol사의 07POSF5172는 1.05ms로 모두 비슷하게 측정되었다. In this study, to obtain basic data for comparative analysis of the properties of bio aviation fuel to be developed in the future, the ignition delay time of various aviation fuels was measured and compared. In the case of petroleum-based aviation fuel, the ignition delay time of exo-THDCP was 4.92ms, which was 3.42 times longer than 1.44ms of Jet A-1 at 590 ℃ / 55bar. In the case of foreign bio aviation fuel, the ignition delay time of 11POSF7629 was the longest measured as 1.18ms, and the ignition delay time of 10POSF6308 (1.06ms), 12POSF7720 (1.07ms), and 07POSF5172 (1.05ms) were measured similarly.

본 연구에서는 석유계항공유와 혼합하여 사용이 가능한 바이오항공유의 혼합 비율에 따른 점화지연 특성의 변화를 확인하기 위하여, 두 항공유를 일정한 비율로 혼합한 시료의 점화지연시간을 측정하여 분석하였다. 측정한 모든 온도 조건에서 Bio-6308의 점화지연시간이 Jet A-1의 점화지연시간보다 짧게 나타났으며, 두 항공유를 일정한 비율로 혼합한 경우에도 Bio-6308의 함량이 증가할수록 점화지연시간은 짧아지는 경향을 보였는데, 이는 Jet A-1을 구성하는 방향족 화합물의 영향 때문임을 n-heptane/Tol uene의 점화지연시간 측정을 통해 확인하였다. In this study, the ignition delay time of blended aviation fuels was measured and analyzed to confirm the characteristic of ignition delay according to blending ratio of bio aviation fuel which can blended with petroleum-based aviation fuel. The ignition delay time of bio aviation fuel(Bio-6308) was shorter than petroleum-based aviation fuel(Jet A-1) at all the measured temperatures and that of blended aviation fuels was shortened with increasing ratio of Bio-6308. It was confirmed that the aromatic compounds constituting the Jet A-1 affect these results by measuring the ignition delay times of n-heptane/Toluene.

본 연구에서는 액체연료의 흡열반응에 관한 실험을 수행하는 데에 필수적인 고온용 채널형 반응기를 설계하여 제작하고, 일정한 온도와 압력을 인가하여 그 기능 및 성능을 점검하였다. 점검을 위해 반응관 내의 압력 설정 값은 50 bar로 고정하고, 온도 설정 값은 300 ℃~500 ℃로 변화시키면서 실제로 측정되는 압력과 온도 값의 오차범위를 확인하였다. 압력의 경우에는 설치된 BPR(Back Pressure Regulator)이 정상 작동하여 설정 값에서 크게 벗어나지 않았으며, 반응기 표면온도는 연료의 충분한 예열 과정을 거친 후에 실험할 경우에 설정 값 대비 1.7 % 이내의 오차를 갖는 것으로 확인되었다. 연료의 온도는 설정 값 대비 5 % 이내의 오차를 갖는 것으로 확인되었으며, 인가되는 전력량(열손실)은 설정 온도의 상승에 따라 증가하여 특히 500 ℃의 조건에서 구간별 최대흡열량(500W)의 20 %의 열손실이 발생하는 것을 확인하였다. In this study, high temperature channel reactor which can be used for analyzing the endothermic reaction of liquid fuel was designed and tested its performance by applying constant temperature and pressure. The pressure in the reaction tube was fixed on 50 bar and the temperature was varied from 300 ℃ to 500 ℃. In the case of pressure, it did not deviate greatly from the set value because BPR(Back Pressure Regulator) operated normal. The surface temperature of reactor had error within 1.7 % compared with set value when experiment performed with sufficient preheating of the fuel. The temperature of fuel had error within 5 % compared with set value and measured power input(heat loss) was increased by increasing of temperature, endothermic amount within 20 % occurred at 500 ℃.

〈Franklin〉is an interactive service that enables children to become the protagonists and authors of fairy tales in collaboration with an AI language generation model. Considering the inclusion of social prejudices and outdated social norms in existing fairy tales and the fact that Korean language models are trained on datasets that reflect discrimination and hatred in society, 〈Franklin〉 was designed to prevent the generation of unethical and biased expressions. During the process of building a Korean fairy tale dataset, explicit expressions of hatred and profanity were deleted, unnecessary data were removed by detecting cruel or unethical parts included in some classic fairy tales, and grammatical errors were minimized to increase the effectiveness of the small training dataset. Based on the constructed dataset, the model was fine-tuned to implement the tone of the fairy tales, and the word embedding values of the model were adjusted to mitigate the inherent gender bias. Experiments were conducted to complement contextuality and generate coherent stories, and the model was fine-tuned based on the results. A web service was designed to enable children to create fairy tales using the trained model, which serves as a platform for providing fairy tales that reflect more diverse social norms to children.

〈프랭클린〉은 언어 생성 인공지능 모델을 통해 아이들이 동화 속 주인공이자 작가가 되어 AI 모델과 동화를 공동 창작하는 인터렉티브 웹서비스이다. 기존 한국어 언어 모델이 사회의 차별과 혐오를 그대로 반영한 데이터셋으로 학습한 것과 달리 비윤리적이고 편향적인 표현을 생성하지 않도록 방지하는 개발 과정을 거쳤다. 평등한 동화를 생성하는 인공지능 모델〈프랭클린〉은 아이들에게 보다 다양한 사회상을 반영한 동화를 제공하는 플랫폼으로서 활용된다.
