Green nail syndrome is a chronic nail infection by Pseudomonas aeurginosa. Infected lesions can involve both finger and toe nails and cause greenish discoloration and onycholysis. Environmental factors such as frequent hydration and external trauma are predisposing factors. A 37-year-old patient was diagnosed with green nail syndrome on the right thumb. She used a thimble for a long time as a dress designer. Herein, we describe an uncommon case of green nail syndrome by chronic thimble use as a rare and an educational report. Backgraound : Sarcoidosis is a systemic granulomatous disease of unknown etiology characterized by the formation of multiple noncaseating granulomas. When inactive scars that have been quiescent for years become infiltrated with sarcoidosis, develop erythematous indurated nodules. They may precede or accompany systemic sarcoidosis, or occur during a relapse. Case : We report a 57-year old female who present with erythematous nodules on the both upper and lower eyelids, forehead, left antecubital area and abdomen. These lesions resulted from scars produced by blepharoplasty, transabdominal hysterectomy and venipuncture in the past. She denied any systemic illness and was in good health at the time of presentation. Complete regression of the skin lesions was obtained with systemic steroid therapy without recurrene for 6 months. Conclusion : We report a case of cutaneous sarcoidosis resulting from surgical scars

Background : Severe atopic dermatitis may require systemic medications like systemic corticosteroids, cyclosporin. Recently high-dose Ultraviolet A-1 (UVA-1) phototherapy (340~400 nm) has been shown to be effective in the treatment of acute exacerbated atopic dermatitis. Case : We experienced a case of acute severe atopic dermatitis in 21-year old female and treated with high-dose UVA-1 phototherapy successfully. Conclusion : We suggest that high-dose UVA-1 phototherapy is a useful and well tolerated treatment for acute flares of atopic dermatits and effective as a monotherapy.
