본 연구는 장애아동 가족들이 장애아동의 전반적인 삶에 미치는 영향을 인식하고, 장애아동에 대한 가족의 역할을 충실히 수행하기 위해 필요한 서비스 및 지원체제가 어떠한가를 알아보며, 그들에게 필요한 서비스 및 지원체제를 확충하기 위한 자료로 활용하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 이를 위한 연구 문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아동 가족들이 가장 필요로 하는 복지욕구는 무엇인가? 둘째, 장애아동 가족들의 특성에 따른 복지욕구는 무엇인가?? 셋째, 장애아동의 특성에 따른 복지욕구는 무엇인가? 셋째, 장애아동 가족들이 서술한 복지욕구는 무엇인가? 본 연구는 경상북도 구미시 특수학교에 재학 중인 초등학생, 중학생, 고등학생의 가족을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 연구도구는 한현정(2002)의 연구에서 사용한 설문지를 주 도구로 하고, 기타 여러 문헌들과 현 정책을 참고하여, 본 연구의 목적에 맞게 수정ㆍ보완하여 예비조사를 실시 한 후 사용하였다. 자료분석을 위해서는 SPSS/WIN 18.0프로그램을 이용하여 전산 처리하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아동 가족들의 전반적인 복지욕구는 사회적 지원, 정보지원, 가족지원, 경제적 지원 순으로 필요성이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 장애아동 가족들의 특성에 따른 복지욕구 조사에서는 부모의 연령과 수입에 대해서는 가족지원, 경제적 지원, 사회적 지원, 정보지원의 필요성에 대한 차이는 없었다. 그러나 부모의 학력에 따른 사회적 지원에서 고졸이거나 대졸인 부모들이 중졸 인 부모들에 비해 더 높은 필요성을 요구하였다. 셋째, 장애아동 특성에 따른 복지욕구 조사에서는 아동의 성별과 교육과정에 대해서는 가족지원, 경제적 지원, 사회적 지원, 정보지원의 필요성에 대한 차이는 없었다. 그러나 아동의 연령에 따른 경제적 지원과 사회적 지원에서는 14~16세 집단의 아동들이 17세 이상 집단의 아동들에 비해 더 높은 필요성을 요구하였다. 끝으로, 장애아동 가족들이 서술한 복지욕구 조사에서는 장애아동의 사회성 증대와 여가(놀이공원, 영화관람 등)를 위한 자원봉사자 및 돌봄서비스, 현재 물가에 맞는 교통비와 유류비에 대한 지원, 복지관 및 주ㆍ단기보호시설의 확충 및 증설, 아동의 문제행동에 대한 대처방법에 대한 정보의 필요성을 요구하였다 The purpose of this study is to conceive how the family members have an effect on their disabled children's life, to investigate services and systems which are necessary for their family to play full roles for their children and finally to use the study results for the expansion of assistance services program toward disabled children. The focus of this study is as follows; First, what is the most necessary welfare desire of the family who has disabled children? Second, what is welfare desire of family who has disabled children bycharacteristic? Third, what is welfare desire of the disabled children by characteristic? Fourth, what is welfare desire of families who have disabled children described? This study is based on the survey carried out to the families who have disabled elementary, middle school or high school student at Gu-mi in North Kyungsang Province. In this study, the same tool of Hyun Jung Han's study (2002) was primarily used and additionally other books and current policies were also reviewed. All the documents were modified and supplemented following the objective of this study after preliminary review. The computer program SPSS/WIN 18.0 was used to analyze the data. The results of this study are as follows. First, as for the general welfare desire of the family who have disabled children, the necessity ranked most highly in the field of social support and information support, family support and economic support placed in order. Second, as for the welfare desire of family who have disabled children by characteristic, the more parents have higher level of education the more they requested higher necessity of social support. Third, as for the welfare desire of the disabled children by characteristic, there was no difference of necessity by gender of children. However, the desire is higher in the group of children aged 14-16 rather than over 17 by age. Finally, in the field of the welfare desire families who have disabled children described, the increase of social relationship, volunteer for leisure activity such as amusement park and cinema, care service, the support of oil and transportation expense appropriate to current price, expansion of welfare center and care facilities and etc. were requested.
