어린이 그림책 일러스트레이션의 유형 분석 및 특징 연구 : 2000~2006년의 아동 문학상 수상 서적을 중심으로 = Type analysis and characteristic study of illustration's child picture : laying stress on juvenile literature prizewinning books 2000~2006

국문 초록 (Abstract)

어린 시절 보았던 그림책들은 성인이 된 후에도 의식과 무의식에 지속적인 영향을 주고 일생에 걸쳐 책에 대한 태도를 결정하는 데 중요한 역할을 한다. 이러한 그림책 일러스트레이션의 역할에 따라 그림책을 제작하는데 예술적, 교육적 기능과 어린이들의 선호도를 고려하여 제작해야 한다는 것을 의미한다. 하지만 다양한 수요층의 요구에 비해 주로 구상적인 표현인 사실적이고 재현적인 표현방법만으로 이뤄진 일러스트레이션이 많은 실정이다. 이러한 그림책 일러스트레이션은 어린이들의 정서와 지적 발달을 향상시키는데 충분히 충족시켜줄 수 없으므로 그림책 일러스트레이션은 다채로운 시각적 요소를 충분히 활용한 풍부한 표현기법을 제시하여 어린이의 상상력과 감수성이 발달될 수 있도록 해야 한다.
또한 이러한 표현기법을 활용한 일러스트레이션은 어린이가 그림책을 읽은 후 관련된 조형 활동을 할 수 있게 하고, 단순히 그림책을 읽기만 하는 것 보다 정서·지능발달에 훨씬 도움이 될 것이다. 이처럼 표현기법을 활용한 일러스트레이션을 미술교육과 연계한다면 어린이의 정서 및 창의력 발달에 좀 더 도움을 줄 수 있고, 그림책을 통해서 자연스럽게 미적 체험과 표현기법의 사용방법에 대해 알 수 있을 것이다.
그러므로 어린이 그림책 일러스트레이터는 어린이들에게 보기에 즐겁고 어린이들에게 도움이 되는 일러스트레이션을 제작하여야 하는데, 본 논문은 외국의 유명한 문학상과 우리나라 문학상을 수상한 작품을 30권으로 축약하고, 그림책이 갖추어야 할 교육적 의의와 기본 이론에 대해 알아보고, 30권의 그림책을 표현요소, 표현양식, 표현재료로 나누어 분석해보고 수상작을 통하여 좋은 그림책의 기준과 문제점과 개선방안 및 미술교육과의 연계성을 제안하여 본다.
제2장에서는 어린이 그림책에서 일러스트레이션의 개념과 역할 및 교육적 의의에 대해 살펴보았다. 일러스트레이션의 역할은 일반적인 그림책의 특성에 대한 부분으로 나누어 가독성 및 독서 흥미 증대, 연령별 특성을 고려한 빠른 의미 전달, 시각적 흥미 증대로 나누어 살펴보았고, 교육적 의의는 시지각 능력의 발달, 상상력·창의력의 발달, 감상 능력의 발달 등을 교육적 의의로 꼽아 제시하였다.
제3장에서는 어린이 그림책 일러스트레이션의 유형 및 특징을 분석하고, 유형 별 선호도를 조사하였다. 조사대상은 2000～2006년 사이의 일러스트레이션 관련 그림책 수상작 중 30권의 책을 선정하여 분석 대상과 분석 방법을 정하고 세 부분으로 나누어 표현요소에 따른 특징 분석, 표현 양식에 따른 특징 분석, 표현 재료에 따른 특징을 분석하였다.
첫째, 표현요소에서는 점, 선, 면 등을 제외한 뚜렷한 전체 구조를 가진 책의 표지 형태, 내부 레이아웃, 타이포그래피, 색채표현으로 나누어 살펴보았다. 레이아웃은 대칭의 안정적이고 균형 있는 레이아웃을 많이 사용하고 있었다. 타이포그래피 및 서체 부분은 표지의 글자체는 손 글씨를 대부분 사용하였고 본문 글의 글자체는 가독성을 높일 수 있는 명조체를 가장 많이 사용하고 있다. 색채표현에서는 다양한 색을 사용하였고 그 중에 노란색과 검은색의 사용이 가장 많았다. 하지만 선호도 조사에서는 어린이들은 자연색이나 혼합 색을 더 좋아하는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 표현 내용에 따른 분류는 모험·환상적 표현이 5권, 민속적 표현은 4권, 사실적 표현은 11권, 만화적 표현은 10권으로 사실적으로 표현한 그림책이 가장 많았다. 선호도에서는 연령이 낮을수록 사실적인 표현을 좋아했고, 연령이 높아짐에 따라 추상적·상징적 표현과 만화적 표현을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 표현 재료는 수채화·아크릴·유화의 표현기법 11권, 한국화의 표현 3권, 연필·색연필·사인펜의 표현 9권, 컴퓨터 그래픽의 표현 6권, 꼴라주·프로타주의 표현 1권으로 표현재료의 범위가 매우 넓고 다양해졌음을 알 수 있다. 선호도에서는 여전히 수채화와 연필의 표현법을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.
제4장에서는 어린이 그림책 일러스트레이션의 문제점과 개선 방안 및 미술교육과의 연계 방안을 기술하였다. 문제점 및 개선방안은 레이아웃 표현, 색채 표현, 표현 내용, 표현 재료에서의 문제점을 발견하고 앞으로 그림책 일러스트레이션의 개선방안을 제안하였다. 미술교육과의 연계방안은 그림책의 교육적 의의를 토대로 그림책을 통해서 어린이들이 다양한 미술적 시각과 다른 감각을 발달시킬 수 있는 감상 활동과 다양한 표현방법으로 재미와 창의성에 도움을 주는 표현활동 부분으로 나누어 그림책과 미술교육과의 연계 방안을 제안하였다.
본 논문을 통해 어린이 그림책 일러스트레이션의 교육적 의의와 그것을 활용한 미술교육과의 연계 방안과 어린이들에게 필요하고 유용한 일러스트레이션의 유형을 파악할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I play an important part giving continuous influence in consciousness and unconscious after picture-books that saw childhood become a man and decides bearing for book over life. It means to produces picture-book according to role of this picture-book illustration but considers and should produces artistic, educational function and children preference. However, illustration that is achieved by realistic and are re-hanging drop expression method that is expression that is objective mainly than request of various demand class is a lot of real conditions. Because this picture-book illustration can not satisfy enough improving emotion of children and area development picture-book illustration present rich expression technique that utilize enough colorful visual element and should makes child's imagination and sensibility can be developed.
Also, emotion than illustration that take advantage of this expression technique after child reads picture-book connected modeling activity do can, and reads picture-book simply in intelligence development. In this way, may help little more in child's emotion and creative mind development, and know about use method of aesthetic experience and expression technique naturally through picture-book if connect illustration that take advantage of expression technique with art education. Therefore, child picture-book illustrator is delightful at example to children and must produce illustration being beaconed to children, this paper work that award foreign famous literary award and our country literary award by 30 books compression do, and search about educational sense and basis theory that picture-book must equip, and analyze dividing 30 picture-books into expression element, expression style, expression factor and suggest link anger with standard and problem and improvement plan of good picture-book and art education through prize winner.
Examined about concept and role of illustration and educational sense in child picture-book in the second chapter. Role of illustration watched by read ability and reading interest enlargement, early meaning last month that consider special quality by age, visual interest enlargement etc. dividing into segment for tang of general picture-book, and educational sense is development of visual perception ability, vision counts to educational sense and presented development of creative mind, development of appreciation ability etc. and so on.
Analyzes type and characteristic of child picture-book illustration in the third chapter, and investigated type different preference. Investigation target decided analysis target and analytical method because chooses 30 books among illustration connection picture-book prize winner between 2000?ª2006 year and divides into three parts and analyzed characteristic analysis by expression element, characteristic analysis by expression style, characteristic by expression material. First, watched by label form of book that have clear total structure except point, line, page etc. in expression factor, inside layout, typography, color expression. Layout symmetry of stable and I was using a lot of layouts that have balance. Typography and indigestion brought on by hot weather part font of label used hand writing mostly and font of text writing is using most corpus unguis that can improve read ability. Colors expression used various color and use of yellow and black among it was the most. However, preference in investigation children better like that natural color or mixing color appear.
Second, breakdown by expression contents is adventure, Fantastic representation 5 circles, the folk-ways enemy expression 4 suggestions, realistic expression is 11 books, and Buddhist emblem robbers expressions are 10 suggestions, so picture-book that express realistically was the most. I liked realistic expression as age is low in preference, and according as age rises abstract? I appeared prefer symbolic presentation and Buddhist emblem robbers expressions.
Third, expression material is a water-color, Acryl, expression technique 11 books of oil painting, expression 3 books of chrysanthemums, pencil-Colored pencil-expression 9 books of a cause of death pen, expression 6 books of computer graphic, Kkolraju-Extent of expression material is very wide by expression 1 book of frottage and I can know was various. I appeared prefer idiosyncrasy of watercolor and pencil in preference.
Described link plan with problem and improvement plan of child picture-book illustration and art education in the fourth chapter. Problem and improvement plan discovers problem in layout representation, color expression, expression contents, expression material and suggested improvement plan of picture-book illustration forward. Link plan divides into expression activity member that help in interest and initiative by appreciation activity and various expression method that children could develop other sense with various artistical hour angle on the basis of educational sense of picture-book and suggested link plan with picture-book and art education. Grasp type of illustration that need with link plan and children with educational sense and art education that utilize it of child picture-book illustration through this paper and diverts.
