진로동기수준에 따른 군집 유형과 진로준비행동과의 관계 : 자기결정성 이론을 바탕으로 = Subtypes Based on Self-Determination Theory and Career Preparation Behaviors

Based on the Self-Determination Theory, this study investigated the effect of motivation types on career preparation behavior in order to increases chances for getting a job of college students. The participants were 304 undergraduate students(143 male and 161 female). Autonomy, competence, and relatedness were used to observe level of career motivation through cluster analysis. Three distinct motivation types (external regulation group, integrated regulation group, intrinsic regulation group) were identified. Subsequently, the differences of career preparation behavior of each cluster were examined and the three groups significantly differed on their scores of career preparation behavior. These results indicated that motivation types are important predictor of career preparation behavior. Based on these findings, the limitations and implications of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 취업 가능성을 확대시킬 수 있는 진로준비행동을 촉진시키기 위한 개입의 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. 이를 위해 자기결정성 이론을 바탕으로 진로준비행동을 잘 예측할 것으로 판단되는 동기 변인들(자율성, 유능성, 관계성)을 선정하고 군집분석과 분산분석을 통해 동기 수준에 따른 군집 유형을 확인하고 각 군집별 진로준비행동에 유의미한 차이가 있는지 검증하였다. 대학생 304명을 대상으로 군집분석을 실시한 결과, 동기 수준에 따라 상이한 세 개의 군집이 나타났다. 자율성 수준이 낮고 유능성과 관계성을 낮게 지각하는 외적 조절형과 자율성 수준이 높고 유능성, 관계성을 높게 지각하는 통합된 조절형, 내재적 동기를 추구하는 내적 조절형이 그것이다. 다음으로 군집 간 진로준비행동에 차이가 있는지 확인한 결과, 군집 간 유의미한 차이를 보였으며 통합된 조절형, 내적 조절형, 외적 조절형 순으로 진로준비행동이 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 동기 수준이 진로준비행동에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인임을 시사하는 것으로 이를 통한 효과적 진로개입 방안을 제시하였다.
