앙리 마티스 컷아웃(Cut-out) 기법의 조형성을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션 연구 = A study on the fashion illustration applying the formativeness of cut-out technique by Henri Matisse

국문 초록 (Abstract)

예술이 하나의 독자적인 영역으로 자리 잡았던 시대와는 다르게 오늘날은 패션과의 융합뿐만 아니라 다양한 디자인 분야에서 협력하고 교류하여 하나의 장르로서 그 역할을 확고하게 하고 있다. 다양한 예술 영역 중에서 회화와 패션 일러스트레이션과의 결합은 수많은 디자이너들에게 영감을 주고 있으며 예술적인 해석을 다양하게 할 수 있는 모티브로서 그 개발 영역은 무궁무진하다고 볼 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 작품의 영감원으로서 앙리 마티스의 작품 세계에 주목하고 다양한 회화 중에서 컷아웃 기법의 조형성을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션을 개발하여 패션 일러스트레이션의 영역을 확고히 하고 창의적인 작품개발의 방향성을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.
본 연구는 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 작품을 제작하였다. 이론적 내용을 위하여 앙리 마티스 작품의 형성 배경을 살펴보았으며 컷아웃 기법의 작품 세계와 조형성을 분석하였다. 또한 컷아웃 기법을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션 사례를 살펴보았으며 이를 토대로 색지를 이용한 컷아웃 기법의 패션 일러스트레이션 작품 다섯 점을 개발하였다.
연구 결과 앙리 마티스 컷아웃 기법의 조형성을 응용한 패션 일러스트레이션은 무의식에서 표현되는 선과 면, 형태의 표현은 자유스러운 조합과 구성으로 우연적인 일치를 볼 수 있었고 이렇게 자율성에 근거한 이미지의 효과는 패션 일러스트레이션 개발에 창의적으로 응용될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Contrary to the times when art was constructed as an independent field, today, it has secured its role as a new genre through mutual cooperation and exchange in various design fields. Among various fields of arts, the combination of painting and fashion Illustration is inspiring numerous designers, and the area of its development could be infinite as a motif for various artistic interpretations. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to focus on the world of Henri Matisse's work as an inspiration for the work and to develop fashion illustrations that apply the formability of cut-out techniques among various paintings to solidify the field of fashion illustration and suggest the direction of creative work development.
This study produced works based on theoretical content. This study examined the background of forming the works by Henri Matisse for theoretical content, and analyzed the world of artworks and formativeness of cut-out technique. Also, after examining the cases of fashion illustration applying cut-out technique, this study developed five pieces of fashion illustration works with cut-out technique using colored paper.
The results of this study are as follows. In the fashion illustration applying the formativeness of cut-out technique by Henri Matisse, the representation of line, plane, and shape expressed in a state of unconsciousness could be viewed as an accidental accordance of free combination and composition. Such effects of image based on autonomy could be creatively applied to the development of fashion illustration.
