질문 만들기 과업이 영어 말하기 능력에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Question Making Tasks on EFL Learners’ Speaking Proficiency

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to explore the effects of question making tasks on EFL learners’ speaking proficiency. Eight-three college students participated in a questionnaire survey regarding EFL learning. Among them, fifty-six students were divided into an experimental group and a control group. For a period of seven weeks, students from the experimental group took part in the question making tasks based on listening materials, whereas students from the control group received a general lesson. Two interview tests were administered to both groups for analysis of their improvement on speaking proficiency. According to the results of this study, speaking was the most vulnerable area in their English learning. Results also showed that the experimental group showed significantly better performance than the control group on the posttest of speaking proficiency. It was assumed that the question making tasks positively affected the EFL learners’ speaking proficiency. Several implications are discussed based on the findings of the study.
