세월호 재난 위기개입에 참여한 상담자의 상담 경험에 관한 연구: 현상학적 접근 = A Study on Counselors’ Counseling Experience Participated in Crisis Intervention for Sewol Ferry Disaster: A Phenomenological Approach

The purpose of this study was qualitatively to explore counseling experiences, focusing on counseling process, of nine participants who joined in crisis intervention for Sewol Ferry disaster and how it impacts upon the life of individual as well as professional development for counselor. Narratives were analyzed through Giorgi’s phenomenological study procedures. Analysis of the participant transcript resulted in five main themes and 22 sub-themes; ‘comprehension and distress in the process of crisis counseling’, ‘outside factors which have an influence on counseling’, ‘psychological rests that relieve counselors’ difficulties’, ‘requiem constantly resonating inside the heart even after one year’, and ‘reflection on life and experience of awareness of counselor’s valuing’. Based on the results of this study, discussion and implications were presented.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 세월호 재난 위기개입에 참여한 상담자들의 경험을 상담과정을 중심으로 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 상담과정에서 상담자의 경험과 그 의미를 탐색해 보고, 이러한 경험이 개인으로서의 삶과 상담자의 전문성 발달에 어떠한 영향과 의미를 가지는지 알아보았다. 연구방법으로 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 9명의 참여자와 심층면접을 실시하였으며 그 결과 5개의 구성요소와 22개의 하위구성요소를 도출하였다. 구성요소는 ‘상담과정에서 경험하는 두려움과 고통스러움’, ‘상담과정에 영향을 주었던 외적 요소들’, ‘상담자의 어려움을 버티게 해준 심리적 급유기’, ‘1년이 지난 지금도 마음속에 울려 퍼지고 있는 진혼곡’, ‘삶에 대한 성찰과 재난위기개입 현장에서의 상담자의 중요성을 경험’이다. 이러한 연구결과에 기초하여 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.
