企業電算化의 成功的 履行을 위한 電算部暑 責任者의 役割에 관한 硏究 = (THE) Role of CIO(CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER) FOR THE SUCCESSFUL IMPLEMENTATION OF SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT IN BUSINESS FIRMS

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문을 기업전산화의 성공적인 이행을 위한 전산부서 책임자의 역할을 다룬 연구로서, 연구의 목적은 전산부서 책임자의 관점에서 첫째, 성공적인 전산화이행을 위한 영향요인을 발견하고, 둘째, 전산부서의 성공적인 책임자로서 요구되는 기술 및 능력을 발견하는데 있다.
연구방법으로는, 전산부서 책임자를 대상으로 의견조사(opinion survey)하여 관련요인의 중요도 순위를 정하였으며, 의견조사 결과를 요인분식(factor analysis)함으로서 의미있는 새로운 요인들을 찾아내었다. 또한 표본대상의 특성에 따라 가설을 설정하여 검증하였다. 검증을 위하여 SPSS의 Mann-Whitney 검증, Kruskal-Wallice검증, 다중판별분석이 사용되었다.
연구결과는 다음과 같다.
한국기업의 전산부서 책임자는 첫째, (1) 성공적인 전산화이행을 위한 영향 요인으로서 최고경영층의 이해와 협조, 전산화에 관련된 의사소통, 시스템 분석 및 설계를 중요하게 생각하고 있었다. (2) 전산부서의 성공적인 책임자로서 요구되는 기술 및 능력으로는, 업무활동의 창의력 및 추진력, 전산전문인로서의 책임감 빛 사명감, 최고경영층과의 유대관계에 우선순위를 두고 있었다.
둘째, 성공적인 전산화이행요인과 전산부서의 성공적인 책임자로서 요구되는 기술 및 능력에 대한 요인분석 결과는 다음과 같다.
셋째, 요인분석 결과 도출된 요인점수로서 표본대상의 특성별로 가설을 설정하여 검증하였다. 그 결과 전산화이행의 중요도는 상황변수에 따라 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았으나 전산부서의 성공적인 책임자로서 요구되는 기술 및 능력요인의 중요도는 상황변수에 따라 유의한 차이가 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research focuses on the importance of the role of chief information officer in implementation of systems development in Korean enterprises.
This research concentrates on,
First, (1) priority among factors influencing the successful implementation of system development, and (2) priority among techniques and abilities required to become a successful CIO.
Second, the factor analysis was applied to find new meaningful factors on the above variables.
Third, based on the characteristics of this research samp1e, established the hypothesis and made a verification. Mann-Whitney & Kruskal-Wallice verification and multiple discriminant analysis were used for the research.
To summarise the result of the research,
First, (1) majority of Korean enterprise CIOs put importance on the CSF(critical successful factors) of the top management, communication that are related to system development, system analysis and plans (2) The techniques and abilities that are required for the successful CIO are ; creativity and propulsive force, responsibility and commission as a computer specialist and close relationship among top management. To be a successful CIO, he should focus on behavioral problems rather than the technical problems.
Second, the result of factor analysis about factors influencing the successful implementation and techniques and abilities needed by a successful CIO are as follows:

Third, the verification result showed that situational variables had no difference in the priority of factors influencing the system. On the other hand, situational variables had significant difference in the priority of techniques and abilities for CIO.
