Every year, the demand for aviation increases and the aviation industry continues to develop, and the number of new and expanded the air navigational aids is also steadily increasing. Accurate maintenance and management of the air navigational aids essential for the safe operation of aircraft is essential to ensure the safe operation of aircraft.
According to changes in the external environment, various education and training methods are required in education and training. In particular, in order to maintain advanced the air navigational aids, maintainers with specialized skills are required.
Education and training is the only way to develop employees' abilities and secure professionalism. The importance of education and training is being emphasized day by day in order to develop the abilities of employees and secure professionalism. Education and training is a means of accumulating knowledge and skills necessary for job performance and changing values and attitudes by inducing motivation to satisfy needs for self-development.
If job competency and professionalism can be secured through education and training, investment should be made in education and training for technical improvement of the air navigational aids maintainers as well. Through education and training, it is necessary to secure the ability of more advanced professional maintainers to maintain not only the basic job skills required for job performance but also the complex the air navigational aids.
Accordingly, about the education and training system that can improve the job competency of the air navigational aids maintainers, a case study on education and training of similar institutions and a survey on the status of education and training conducted by Korea Airports Corporation are conducted to identify problems and a survey was conducted to understand the perceptions of employees about education and training. When examining the contents of education and training for maintenance personnel of the air navigational aids at Korea Airports Corporation, there is a lack of education on improving job competency and practical performance, and the system for nurturing the air navigational aids experts is also insufficient. It was also found that the system for securing qualified professors and instructors was insufficient.
In order to secure competent human resources, various educational approaches and training methods that can be empirical experiential learning in job training must be introduced and implemented, and a career management program that can manage careers in a self-directed manner is also required. In addition, in order to continuously improve abilities, there must be institutional supplements for continuous self-development, and the professionalism of professors is also required to improve the quality of education.
Therefore, in this study, we proposed a plan to improve an education and training system that can train maintainers who manage advanced the air navigational aids as technical experts and strengthen each individual's job competency. First all, it will be contributed to securing the safety of the the air navigational aids by improving the job performance of the air navigational aids maintainer, starting with the things that can be implemented.
