Consumers are increasingly interested in beauty cosmetics as their aesthetic awareness of us and younger generation is improving. Among them, the nail service industry attracted attention as a futuristic industry, and the number of startups that occurred in the early days was relatively small. As a result of this quantitative growth, the market for nail services has become fierce and saturated. Therefore, research is needed to improve differentiated services in order to respond professionally to the needs, beauty knowledge, and aesthetics of continuously changing consumers. Companies and companies in various service related fields have been studying using service design methodology which can develop innovative solutions so that customers feel service value higher. In addition, fusion research is now being actively conducted using equipment that can measure biological signals to provide psychological grounds as well as psychological grounds. However, there are very few researches on how to improve the services in the field of nail service, and most of them have used the questionnaire - type quantitative research method which applies the same items to the subjects with the same scores. In this study, we discussed the service - design methodology and the psychological problems that consumers can not express in the whole nail service process by using EEG equipment that can measure bio - signals and the direction of improvement of services to solve problems.
Therefore, we firstly surveyed the steps of the overall nail service act. The identified stages of action were presented in seven steps as 'Nail Shop & Nail Design Search - Phone Book - Visit - Consultation - Nail Management - Payment - Post Management'. The problem according to the action stage was integrated and recorded in the customer 's travel guidance using the service design methodology. The part where the psychological satisfaction of consumers was lowest was the' nail management 'stage. In order to grasp the in-depth problems of the derived 'nail care' action stage, we used the observation method to reclassify them into 4 stages. The action elements that proceeded with 'nail care' were divided into 'massage - care - art - skin care' .
And then, we used EEG equipment capable of measuring vital signs in order to grasp deeply the psychological problems of consumers about recategorized behavior elements. The derived 4 elements of behavior were selected as the stimulation type of EEG experiment and the EEG ratio was calculated before and after the experiment. In order to analyze the physiological signals of the brain neurons according to the experimental stimulation stages of 7 subjects, the interview was briefly performed after the experiment to compare and analyze the psychological feeling and the judgment of the service using the bio signal . The analysis results are summarized as follows.
First, according to the EEG measurement and analysis results of the detail factors of the problem level of the nail service derived from the present study, it was confirmed that the comfort and the sense of stability in the 'art' stage were lower than those of the other stages. When the mean value of the subjects of each brain wave to the increase and decrease before and after the experiment was calculated, the rate of decrease was the highest in the alpha wave. In addition, during the stimulation phase of the 4th stage, the 'art' level showed the greatest decrease in the number of eggs. It can be interpreted that the comfort and stability of the consumer are the least when performing art in the nail management process.
Second, the amount of beta - and gamma - wave activity of the occipital lobe was different in art and skin - care stages depending on the color. This is because it can be seen that the red color with high saturation of the warm color in the occipital lobe accommodating the primary visual information is excited by the excitation of the nerve, thereby increasing the stress level. Thus, the 'art' stage At the 'skin care' stage, we could prove that color affects the brain.
Third, we could divide the group of 'introversion' and 'extroversion' through interview and personality diagnoses. The subjects of 'introversion' group found that the interpretation contents of EEG data and the contents of interview were different. Therefore, it can be judged that there is a difference in the psychological and psychological expression method according to the personality type of consumers.
Fourth, according to the personality type, the increase rate of beta wave in the 'introversion' subjects group was higher than that of 'alpha wave' according to the 'introversion' and 'extroversion' of the subject. The group of 'introverted' subjects with reduced alpha-waves and increased beta-waves was found to be more sensitive to stress on overall visual, tactile, memory and experience as compared to 'outward' subjects.
Based on these results, this study suggested a direction to improve the nail service. In the previous research on nail service, it is considered that the research method of traditional questionnaire type that has been dealt with in the past is insufficient as a basis for differentiated improvement of service. Therefore, the results of this study can be utilized as a scientific basis for the professional needs of continuously changing consumer needs, beauty knowledge, and aesthetics, and will be utilized as a basic data for determining the priorities of improving the nail service. I look forward to it.
