이용자 중요도-만족도로 조사한 대학교 캠퍼스 외부공간 분석 연구

The purpose of this study is to suggest improvement plan of university campus outdoor space based on the user's awareness and demand. The physical status of the outdoor space in university campus was surveyed by observation, and the users' behaviors, satisfaction, importance, and requirements for improving the outdoor space were surveyed by questionnaire.
The summarise of this result be as follows.
The outdoor space with the highest improvement demands of the users was the sub-entrance. Therefore, the sub-entrance needs to be actively improved when improving the outdoor space.
Next, the walking paths of pedestrians, the green for rest, and the main entrance were outdoor spaces where continuous maintenance is important to maintain high users' satisfaction.
Lastly, parking lot and road, sports grounds, and outdoor stage were areas that need to be improved sequentially after improvement of outdoor spaces with high priority for improvement.
As a result, when improving the outdoor space of university campus, the walking paths of pedestrians, the green for rest, and the main-entrance should first be improved.
Based on this, the proposed improvement measures for each space are as follows.
First, since the user's satisfaction is the lowest, the sub-entrance needs to be actively improved. So, the security of users should be secured from crimes by installing crime prevention facilities and lighting facilities. In addition, the safety of pedestrians and bicycle users must be ensured from the vehicle.
Secondly, when planning the walking paths of pedestrians, the walking distance should not be long. Also, it should be possible to walk continuously when walking. And the walkway should have a walkway width that is available to two or more pedestrians. And it must be connected to other external space. And CCTV and lighting facilities should be installed for safe walking environment from vehicles and crime. And also, landscape and street facilities should be maintained so that they do not exceed the pedestrian's eye level. Finally, the way-finding facility should be installed, considering the location of the facility and the contents of the information, so that it is easy to find directions in the outside space when walking.
The resting green space needs continuous maintenance such as checking the damage and cleanliness of the facility. Also, it is necessary to improve the lighting facilities of the green spaces and the convenience facilities for the disabled.
The main entrance should secure crime prevention facilities. And safety of pedestrian and bicycle users should be ensured from the vehicle. In addition, lighting facilities must be secured.
Other parking lot and road, sports grounds, and outdoor stage were relatively less important than other spaces. However, there were problems such as lack of maintenance of sign facilities in the parking lot, crossing of passengers and car in the road, lack of lighting facilities in sports grounds and outdoor stage. Therefore, a sequential improvement procedure of these external spaces needs to be planned.
Although this study was aimed at college students who are university campus users, it should be extended to other members of the university such as professors, staff, and local residents, and the number of case study campuses and areas should be expanded.
