낭독 공연을 활용한 희곡교육 방법 연구 = A Study of Drama education method for Reading performance

국문 초록 (Abstract)

희곡은 문학적 요소와 연극적 요소가 공존하고 있기 때문에 그 효능 또한 크다. 문학적 측면에서 보면 구성력, 분석력, 창조력이 타 장르보다 더 발휘되어야 하고, 연극적 측면에서도 발표력, 지도력, 조화력, 이해력, 적응력 및 상상력을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 협동심과 인내력까지 길러준다.
또한 희곡에 있어서의 대사는 국어 교육 과정에서의 말하기, 듣기, 읽기에 해당될 만큼 언어 교육 영역을 전담하고 있으므로 희곡을 통해 언어 능력 신장을 꾀할 수 있는 이로움이 있다.
이와 같이 희곡은 여러 가지 측면에서 문학교육의 목표에 부합할 뿐만 아니라, 문학교육이 지향하는 바를 가장 잘 발현하는 문학 장르임을 알 수 있다. 희곡은 이런 문학 교육적 측면 이외에도 종교적, 심리적, 사회적, 오락적 기능 및 치료적 기능까지 담당한다. 즉 희곡이 갖는 효용은 다방면에 걸쳐 무한하다고 할 수 있다.
희곡은 결국 다양한 삶의 모습과 인간형을 형상화한 내용 면에서나 대화를 통해 표현하는 형식면에서 그 기능이 다분히 교육적일 수밖에 없다. 희곡의 교육적 가치가 다양한 만큼, 문학교육에서의 희곡교육은 이제까지 부각되지 못했던 그 역할과 위치가 다시 한 번 제고되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 희곡의 효용이 가장 잘 실현될 수 있게 희곡 교육에 대한 활발한 연구와 적절한 지도 방안이 적극 모색되어야 한다.
본고에서 다루고 있는 <들판에서>는 제목에서도 알 수 있듯이, 들판이라는 공간에서 평화롭게 살아가던 형제가 갑자기 나타난 측량기사의 농간으로 인해 우애를 잃게 되고 서로 대립하다가 민들레꽃을 통해 다정했던 시절을 회상하며 마침내 우애를 되찾게 된다는 내용으로 형제의 대립을 통하여 우리 민족의 분단 상황과 그 극복의 문제까지 생각해 보고자 한 일종의 우화극이다.
학습자는 <들판에서>라는 작품을 통해 상징적인 표현의 의미를 해석하고, 이를 통해 작가가 말하고자 하는 바가 무엇인지 파악하는 활동을 하게 될 것이다. 그리고 작품을 분석한 후 낭독 공연의 특성을 살려 직접 공연을 해보고 인물과 상황맥락에 대한 이해를 넓힌 다음, 더 나아가 작품을 각색해 봄으로써 문학 체험을 내면화 할 수 있다.
