벽화 제작을 통한 협동학습 지도방안연구

Passing by the end of the 20th century to modern times, it can be said that the aim of the school system is to have all students fully get ready to social situations, which is fundamentally different from what it was in the past. Schools should guide students to have high-level thinking, communication and social skills as well as the basic education. Nowadays, students have new jobs that never existed in the past and they're going through so many changes in their lives in a short time. Therefore, schools should provide students with opportunities for widespread experience, skills and information. In modern society, on the one hand, the abilities which will be required to have in the future consist of collaborative team projects, interactions between people and good communication skills. On the other hand, individualism has led to the collapse of the community spirit. Students of the present time are unable to have a proper education of socialization to be a part of a large group whereas the education used to be conducted naturally in the past. Therefore they lack social skills and communication with a group. Accordingly, it's thought to be important to include the education of interaction with others in school education through cooperative learning, so this study has a guidance for the mural painting which assists cooperative learning.
To help students understand the mural, we will first examine a concept of a public art and a concept of mural painting which is affiliated with a public art and also the history of mural painting. It'll be also important to know not only the types of materials and production techniques used mainly for mural painting but understanding mural painting and what functions mural painting has for its purpose. And we will find out what educational value mural painting and cooperative learning have. There are two teaching guides which will be applied to students. Teaching guide I is for students with weak will to study and guide II is to make pop-up stores in a form of a project for overcoming a small and limited space in painting murals.
Those two guidelines present a reason for selecting topics, a reason for selecting materials, and a preparation. With each corresponding guidance plan, it's important to know the learning goals and expected results. Keeping the instructions in mind is necessary to prevent any troubles in practical training.
And the overall guidance plan was composed for performing the activities.
The expected achievements of this teaching guide are as follows.
First, students can understand a concept and a role of the mural painting affiliated with the public art and students also can learn to speak their own opinions about the mural painting.
Second, students can make mural works in a creative way and learn art techniques.
Third, students can understand characteristics of the space around them and learn to co-exist as a community through interaction with others by beautifully improving the place.
Fourth, students in each group can interact and communicate with each other carrying out collaboration work fostering cooperation and consideration
Fifth, students can not only have a sense of accomplishment that they have achieved something by themselves through completed works by performing expression activities with other students but also have affection for their school and other students.
This study further promotes interaction among students through the mural painting, rather than encouraging the competitive environment and learning alone. Many studies have shown that sociability and cooperative resolution have been developed when it was learnt in collaboration rather than learning individually. The purpose of this plan is to help students develop their sociability by learning the solidarity of living with others and finally to make them have desirable social relations. Through mural painting, one of the very well known art genres, learners are taught to recognize art in various aspects of their lives and motivated to learn more about art.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

20세기를 지나 현대에 이르러 학교의 역할은 모든 학생들이 사회상황에 충분히 대응할 수 있도록 준비시키는 것이며, 이는 기존의 학교에서 수행해온 역할과는 근본적으로 다르다고 말할 수 있다. 학교는 기존에 제공해온 것과 어울러 고차원적인 사고, 의사소통, 사회적 기술들을 가진 학생들을 지향해야한다. 오늘날의 학생들은 과거에 존재하지 않던 새로운 직장을 갖게 되었으며 훨씬 더 빠르게 삶의 변화가 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 학교에서는 학생들에게 광범위한 경험과 기술 그리고 정보를 제공해야한다. 현대 사회에서 앞으로 요구되는 특징은 협동적 팀 프로젝트, 사람 간의 상호 작용, 원활한 의사소통이 가능한 것들로 구성될 것이다. 그러나 현대에는 개인의 성향을 존중하는 것이 편중되어 역으로 공동체 의식이 와해되었다. 오늘날의 학생들은 한때 보편적이던 집단과의 생활 교육을 거의 받지 못해 집단과 화합하고 소통하는 것이 부재되는 현상을 발견했다. 그러므로 협동학습을 통해 타인과 상호 작용을 학교 교육에 포함 시키는 일이 중요하다고 판단되어 본 연구에서는 협동학습을 전제로 하여 벽화제작에 따른 지도방안을 모색하였다.
먼저 벽화에 대한 이해를 돕기 위하여 공공미술의 개념과 공공미술에 속한 벽화에 대한 개념 및 벽화의 역사를 살펴보고, 벽화에 주로 쓰이는 재료와 제작기법 유형들을 알아보며, 벽화를 이해하고 벽화가 지닌 목적에 따른 기능은 무엇인지 알아볼 것이다. 그리고 벽화 및 협동학습이 어떠한 교육적 가치를 지녔는지 파악해볼 것이다. 학생들에게 적용할 수업지도방안은 두 가지로 구성되었다. 학업에 대한 의지가 약한 학생들을 대상으로 한 페인팅 벽화의 지도안Ⅰ과 벽화 제작에 있어 협소한 장소를 극복한 지도방안으로 프로젝트 형식의 팝업스토어 제작 지도안Ⅱ으로 나누어 제안한다.
두 가지의 지도안은 주제 선정 이유 · 재료 선정한 이유와 준비물을 제시한다. 각 해당하는 지도방안을 통해 학습목표 및 기대효과를 알아보고 학습지도시 유의점을 인지하고 실습 현장에 차질 없이 진행 할 수 있도록 한다. 그리고 전체적인 지도계획 구성하여 활동을 진행하도록 하였다.
본 수업지도안의 교육적 효과의 목표는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 공공미술에 속한 벽화에 대해 개념과 역할에 대해 이해하고, 나의 의견을 말할 수 있다.
둘째, 벽화작품을 창의적인 작품으로 표현할 수 있으며 미술기법을 배울 수 있다.
셋째, 우리 주변의 공간의 특성을 이해하고 그 장소를 아름답게 개선하여 타인과 상호 작용을 통한 공동체로서 공존하는 법을 배울 수 있다..
넷째, 모둠별로 상호작용을 하고 소통을 하며 배려심과 협업작업을 수행하며 협동심을 기를 수 있다.
다섯째, 다른 학생들과 함께 표현활동을 하여 완성된 작품을 통해 스스로 해냈다는 성취감을 갖는 동시에 학교에 대한 호감과 학우들에게 애정을 가질 수 있다.
본 연구는 벽화 제작을 통해 협동 학습에서의 활동은 경쟁적이고 개인적인 학습의 환경보다 학생들 간의 상호 작용을 더욱 촉진시키고 격려한다. 많은 연구들에 의하면 개인적으로 학습 했을 때 보다 협동을 하며 학습했을 때 사회성과 협동적인 해결 능력이 발달했다. 이러한 계획안을 통해 타인과 더불어 살아가는 연대감을 학습하여 사회성 발달을 촉진시켜 사회적 관계를 바람직하게 맺을 수 있도록 만드는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 또한 일상 속에 속한 미술장르 중 하나인 벽화를 통해 미술이 학습자 삶 속에 속하는 것임을 인식시켜주고, 실천적인 경험을 발판으로 미술에 대한 흥미를 높일 수 있기를 기대한다.
