This purpose of the study is to find out the input speed and accuracy of children with intellectual disabilities on the CAI language learning program. In so doing, twenty eight students from special school for the mentally retarded in Pusan were selected. Descriptive statistics were calculated to examine the differences resulting from input methods(mouse group, keyboard group). It was pre-tested intelligence test and Picture Vocabulary test and the results of pre-test were used Verify the homogeneity.
Group A was using mouse on the program and group A was using keyboard on the program was independence variable and speed and accuracy was dependence Variables.
The results of the experiment are as follows.
First, it was found that it is more effective to use a keyboard than to use a mouse when it comes to the speed of input of children with intellectual disabilities. It meant that it is more effective to use a keyboard than to use a mouse on the CAI language learning program of children with intellectual disabilities.
Second. it was found that it is same to use a keyboard and to use a mouse when it comes to the accuracy of input of children with intellectual disabilities.
