국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 충청북도 청주시의 산업구조 변화를 클러스터 지수(CQ)를 이용하여 종합적으로 분석하고자 한다. 청주시는 오랫동안 제조업, 서비스업, IT업 등 다양한 산업 분야에서 성장을 이루어 왔으며, 특히 정부 서비스, 교육, 그리고 중소 제조업을 중심으로 경제적 기반을 다져왔다. 이러한 배경에서 청주시는 수도권과 광역시를 제외하고 인구가 가장 많은 도시로 성장하였으며, 지역 사회 내에서 핵심적인 경제적 역할을 수행해 왔다. 그러나 최근 도시의 경제 구조는 급변하고 있으며, 산업별 집중도와 특성이 변화하는 추세에 있다. 본 연구에서는 산업분류표와 지리 정보 시스템(GIS)을 활용하여 청주시의 제조업, 서비스업, IT업의 공간적 분포와 구조 변화를 시각화하고, 각 산업의 클러스터 지수를 계산하여 지역적 집중도의 변동을 평가하였다. 특히, 청주시 내 행정 구역별 산업의 IQ(사업체 지수), EQ(종사자 지수), CQ(클러스터 지수) 변화를 비교하여 각 산업이 어떻게 변화하고 있는지 구체적으로 분석하였다. 제조업은 전통적 강세 산업으로서 청주의 경제적 중추 역할을 해왔으나, 최근 서비스업과 IT업의 확장이 증가하고 있다. 이러한 산업별 특성 변화는 지역 경제의 다각화와 고용 기회 창출에 중요한 영향을 미치며, 청주시의 경제적 미래 전략에 큰 함의를 제공한다. 본 연구는 산업별 클러스터 특성과 집중도를 심층적으로 이해함으로써 청주시가 지역 경제 발전을 위한 효과적인 정책을 수립하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

This study aims to comprehensively analyze the industrial structure changes in Cheongju City, North Chungcheong Province, using the Cluster Quotient (CQ). Over the years, Cheongju has achieved growth in various industries, including manufacturing, services, and IT, with its economic foundation particularly strengthened by government services, education, and small to medium-sized manufacturing. As a result, Cheongju has grown to become the most populous city outside the metropolitan areas, playing a key economic role within the region.
Recently, however, the city’s economic structure has undergone rapid changes, with shifts in the concentration and characteristics of its industries. This study visualizes the spatial distribution and structural changes of manufacturing, services, and IT industries in Cheongju through the use of an industrial classification system and Geographic Information System (GIS), calculating the cluster quotient for each Analyses on changes in industrial sturectures of Cheongju City based on the cluster index. sector to evaluate changes in regional concentration. These shifts in industrial characteristics play a crucial role in regional economic diversification and job creation, offering significant insights for Cheongju’s future economic strategies. By providing an in-depth understanding of the characteristics and concentration levels of industrial clusters, this study is expected to contribute foundational data essential for Cheongju to formulate effective policies for regional economic development.
