Children are sensitively affected by an external environment in the process of their growth and it has a great influence on their physical and mental development. Moreover, since the play itself is the life to children, the object, kind and place of it has a great relation with their physical and mental development.
Therefore, this study examines and analyzes the play of children on the object of 250 children and as the result of this study, children's plays are different in sex, grade, residence type, mother's occupational type and resedence floor. The contents of the study are as follows.
1) On the mean playing time a day, most of the objects play less than 1 hour, next 1-2 hour and then 2-3 hours. In attributes, boys, lower-grade children, children residing at lower floor and those with working mothers are playing longer than girls, higher-grade children, children residing at higher floor and those with housewife mothers.
2) On the place of play, over half of the objects use home, next outing place and school. Considering the attributes of using outing place by children, boys, lower-grade children, children with working mothers, those living with parents and residing at lower floor are using outing place more frequently than girls, higher-grade children, those with housewife mother, residing with parents and at higher floor.
3) The kinds of play are football, basketball and playing ball in order. Considering their attributes, boys prefer to football, basketball and baseball and girls like swing, playing elastic string and roller skate, and higher-grade children like to play basketball, football and roller skate.
4) Most of the children play with school friends, next friends who live in the same apartment, and lower-grade children have many friends in the Same apartment, next school friends and then those attending the same institute.
5) On the preference of outing place at apartment, most of the children respond normal, next don't like it and'like very much' is the lowest. The reason they like the outing place is that it is safe and then there is no place to play.
