공공도서관 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션 운영에 관한 연구 : 청주오창호수도서관 6개관 사례를 중심으로 = A Study on the Operation of Specialized Service Event Collection in Public Library : Focusing on the case of 6 Libraries in Cheongju Ochanghosu Library

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 청주오창호수도서관 6개(오창호수ㆍ상당ㆍ청원ㆍ오창ㆍ금빛ㆍ내수) 도서관 사례를 중심으로 공공도서관 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션 운영 발전방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 청주시 시립도서관은 16개 권역별 도서관의 양적확대에 따라 복합문화공간으로서의 공공도서관의 중요성이 대두됨에 따라 도서관별 전문성 및 차별화된 특화서비스를 강화하고자 도서관별 특화사업을 추진하였다. 이에 따라 특화주제와 관련된 독서자료 및 놀이 체험 요소를 융합한 프로그램 이벤트 컬렉션을 시행하였다.
청주오창호수도서관 6개관 사례를 중심으로 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션을 분석하였다. 이에 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 특화주제에 따른 차별화된 서비스를 통해 이용자 만족도를 향상하기 위해 각 도서관의 특화장서와 체험을 연결하는 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션에 집중할 필요성이 있었다. 이를 위해 특화장서, 이벤트 컬렉션, 특화공간을 통한 공공도서관 특화서비스 이벤트 컬렉션 발전방안을 제시하였다.
그 결과, 첫째, 전체장서의 10%를 특화장서로 구축하는 장서 개발지침을 마련하고 특화장서 큐레이션을 연계하여 프로그램을 운영해야 한다.
둘째, 지역사회 유관ㆍ전문기관과 연계를 바탕으로 지역사회 공동체성의 회복으로 이어지도록 지역사회의 특화주제 네트워크를 형성해야 한다.
셋째, 공공도서관이 특화서비스 일환으로 이벤트 컬렉션을 확대하기 위해서 특화주제 장서 서가와 프로그램 운영 공간을 조성해야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to propose a plan for the development of specialized service event collections in public libraries, focusing on the cases of 6 Ochanghosu libraries in Cheongju(Ochanghosu, Sangdang, Cheongwon, Ochang, Geumbit, and Naesu). As the importance of public libraries as a complex cultural space has emerged due to the quantitative expansion of libraries in 16 regions, the Cheongju Municipal Library has promoted specialized projects for each library to strengthen its expertise and differentiate specialized services. Accordingly, a program event collection that combines reading materials and play experience elements related to specialized themes was implemented.
Specialized service event collections were analyzed focusing on the cases of 6 Ochanghosu libraries in Cheongju. As a result, it was found that the specialized service event collection was insufficient. In order to improve user satisfaction through differentiated services according to specialized themes, it was necessary to focus on specialized service event collections that connect specialized collections and experiences of each library. To this end, a plan for the development of specialized collections, event collections, and specialized spaces in public libraries was proposed.
As a result, first, it is necessary to prepare collection development guidelines that establish 10% of the total collection as specialized collections and operate the program in connection with curation of specialized collections.
Second, it is necessary to form a network of specialized themes in the local community to lead to the recovery of community spirit based on connection with local community-related and specialized institutions.
Third, in order for public libraries to expand their event collections as part of their specialized services, they need to create specialized subject book shelves and program operation spaces.
