장애인근로자의 근로조건이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향: 자아존중감, 가족관계만족도, 건강상태의 매개효과를 중심으로 = Effects of Working Conditions of Workers with Disabilities on Life Satisfaction: Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Self-esteem, Family Relationship Satisfaction, and Health Status

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2022년 한국장애인개발원에서 실시한 제5차 장애인의 삶 패널조사 자료를 활용하여 장애인근로자의 근로조건이 그들의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 특히 자아존중감, 가족관계만족도, 건강상태의 매개효과를 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 결과, 장애인근로자의 근로조건이 삶의 만족도에 영향요인이며 이 과정에서 자아존중감과 가족관계만족도, 건강상태가 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 근로조건 중 종사상 지위가 안정적이거나 임금수준이 높을수록 자아존중감과 가족관계만족도, 건강상태를 양호하게 하며 이는 다시 삶의 만족도도 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 먼저, 장애인근로자의 삶의 만족도 수준을 높이기 위해서는 장애인근로자들이 좋은 근로조건 상태에서 고용이 이루어질 수 있도록 직업재활서비스 체계나 장애인 고용정책이 기회의 평등에서 조건과 결과의 평등으로 전환되도록 할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 장애인근로자의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 장애인 스스로가 자존감을 높일 수 있도록 근로조건에 대한 개선과 함께 자존감을 높일 수 있는 심리적 접근과 프로그램이 만들어질 필요가 있다. 셋째, 장애인근로자의 삶의 만족 수준을 높이기 위해 가족관계를 지원할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램과 사회적 지원이 필요하다. 넷째, 장애인근로자의 삶의 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 장애인근로자의 건강상태를 체계적으로 관리하고 모니터할 수 있는 체계마련과 예방적 조치가 필요하다. 마지막으로 이 연구는 패널조사 자료를 활용하여 실제 장애인근로자의 삶의 질 요인으로 다양하게 고려될 수 있는 여러 맥락적 요인을 실증하지 못한 연구의 제한점이 있다.
향후 연구에서는 추가적으로 장애인의 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 보다 다양한 인구 집단을 포함한 연구 진행이 필요하다. 특히, 시간에 따라 변화하는 요인을 분석하는 연구가 경우에 따라 유용할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of working conditions of workers with disabilities on their life satisfaction using data from the 5th Life Panel Survey conducted by the Korea Disabled Development Institute in 2022, and to investigate the mediating effects of self-esteem, family relationship satisfaction, and health status. As a result of the study, it was found that the working conditions of workers with disabilities are factors affecting life satisfaction, and in this process, self-esteem, family relationship satisfaction, and health status have mediating effects. In other words, it was found that the more stable the employment status or the higher the wage level among the working conditions, the better the self-esteem, family relationship satisfaction, and health status, which in turn increases the satisfaction of life. First of all, in order to increase the level of life satisfaction of workers with disabilities, it was found that it was necessary to change the vocational rehabilitation service system or employment policy for the disabled from equality of opportunity to equality of conditions and outcomes so that workers with disabilities can be employed under good working conditions. Second, in order to increase the life satisfaction of workers with disabilities, it is necessary to create a psychological approach and program that can increase self-esteem along with improving working conditions so that the disabled can increase their self-esteem. Third, various programs and social support that can support family relationships are needed to increase the level of life satisfaction of workers with disabilities. Fourth, in order to increase the life satisfaction of workers with disabilities, it is necessary to prepare a system and take preventive measures to systematically manage and monitor the health status of workers with disabilities. Finally, this study has limitations in the study that failed to demonstrate these various contextual factors that can be considered in various ways as quality of life factors for workers with disabilities using panel survey data.
In future research, it is necessary to further identify the effect on the life satisfaction of the disabled and conduct research including more diverse population groups. In particular, studies that analyze factors that change over time can be useful in some cases.
